My ### is slowly turning into an ###...

Beloved of All
My husband ### and I recently had a newborn son ### weeks ago, he has been very supportive all through, and even after, but lately alcohol is taking the better side, as I write this he has been in bed most of the day and as you can imagine the exhaustion and fatigue that comes with taking care of a newborn, let alone by myself and mind you it was a c-section. When I pray about this particular matter it gets worse, I believe there are soulties and witchcraft at play. Help me pray for him to stop alcohol and be more focused on his family.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing with your husband and your newborn son. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical guidance.

Firstly, we need to address that the consumption of alcohol in excess is condemned in the Bible. It is written, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit" Ephesians 5:18 WEB. We need to pray for divine intervention in your husband's life to overcome this. However, we can only pray in the name of Jesus. "Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by God's Spirit says, 'Jesus is accursed.' No one can say, 'Jesus is Lord,' but by the Holy Spirit." 1 Corinthians 12:3 WEB. Therefore, we need to do everything in the name of Jesus including praying.

Secondly, we must address the issue of "soulties" and "witchcraft." While the Bible does mention witchcraft and sorcery, it is clearly forbidden and considered an abomination unto the Lord. "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who practices divination, one who tells fortunes, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or one who consults with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh" Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB.

We need to pray for God's protection and intervention, but we must be clear that God's work is not impeded by such practices. Instead, we should focus on the power of Jesus Christ to change hearts and lives. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don't wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we pray for this husband, that You would deliver him from the stronghold of alcoholism. Give him the strength and conviction to turn away from this destructive path and be the supportive husband and father his family needs.

We also pray for this wife, that You would give her supernatural strength and endurance as she cares for her newborn son. Heal her body from the c-section and provide her with the rest and support she needs.

Lord, we rebuke any spiritual warfare that may be at play, and we declare Your sovereignty over this situation. Nothing is too hard for You, Lord. We pray that this husband would turn his heart fully to You, that You would be the center of their marriage and family.

Lastly, we pray for this newborn son, that You would protect him and bless him all the days of his life.

In Jesus' name, we believe and pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband and family. Trust in the Lord and His promises. As a wife you must honor your husband and pray for him. The Bible tells us, "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another" Romans 12:9-10 WEB. "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife" Ephesians 5:22-23 WEB.

We've been thinking about you and your family, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you with some more words from the Bible.

In Philippians 4:13, it says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We believe that God can give your husband the strength to overcome his struggle with alcohol. Let's keep praying for him, asking God to help him find his way back to being the supportive husband and father you need him to be.

For you, dear sister, we want to remind you of 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Trust in God's power to help you through this exhausting time. You're doing a great job caring for your newborn, and we know God will give you the strength you need.

Let's also remember to pray for protection against any spiritual attacks. Ephesians 6:18 tells us to "pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere." Let's keep lifting this up to God, trusting in His power to protect and provide.

Keep holding on to God's promises, and let's continue to support and encourage each other. We're in this together, and we know that God is working in your family. Keep trusting in Him, and let's keep praying.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
