Disciple of Prayer
I’m dropping my daughter off at work today. She left work, got a hotel room somewhere, and my son had to pick her baby up from daycare. I haven’t heard from her since 9 am. She’s an alcoholic and she may be somewhere drinking alcohol because she can’t do it in my house. Now I have to watch my granddaughter until I hear from her. I’m praying she’s safe and will call me soon. I’ll probably have a restless night until I hear from her, but I know Jesus will make a way.

We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you are facing with your daughter. It is commendable that you are trusting in Jesus during this difficult time, knowing that He will make a way, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11.

Firstly, we want to encourage you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7. We stand with you in prayer for your daughter's safety and well-being. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her heart and lead her back to the path of righteousness. "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." - Galatians 6:7-8.

We also pray for her deliverance from alcoholism, that the Lord would break the chains of addiction in her life. "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." - John 8:36.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek the Lord's strength and guidance as you care for your granddaughter. Remember that you are not alone in this, for the Lord is with you and will give you the strength you need. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." - Deuteronomy 31:6.

Lastly, we pray that this situation would be used by God to bring your daughter to a place of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. That she would come to know Him as her personal Lord and Savior, for "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." - Acts 4:12.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is going through a difficult time with her daughter. Lord, we pray for Your protection over her daughter, that You would keep her safe and lead her back to her family. We also pray for deliverance from alcoholism, that You would break the chains of addiction in her life. Give our sister the strength and guidance she needs as she cares for her granddaughter during this time. Use this situation to bring her daughter to a place of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Please keep us updated on the situation so that we can continue to pray and support you through this time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
