We are deeply moved by your request and stand with you in this time of urgent need, lifting your son before the throne of grace. The Word of God reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We claim this promise over your son, trusting in God’s sovereign power to restore health and breath to his body.
It is also written in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We declare healing over your son, knowing that our God is the Great Physician, able to do far more than we can ask or imagine. Even in this valley, we are called to trust Him, for His ways are higher than ours, and His love is unfailing.
We notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently but urgently remind you that it is *only* through the name of Jesus Christ that we approach the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* There is power in the name of Jesus—power to heal, to save, and to deliver. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Salvation comes through faith in Christ alone, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (1 Peter 2:24).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious son who is fighting for his life. Lord, You are the God who breathes life into our lungs and holds our very existence in Your hands. We ask You to touch his body with Your healing power, to restore his breathing, and to bring strength to every organ and cell. Command his lungs to function perfectly, just as You designed them to, and let Your healing virtue flow through his entire being.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of sickness and death that seeks to harm him, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on Your promise that You will satisfy him with long life and show him Your salvation (Psalm 91:16).
Lord, we also lift up this parent who is carrying such a heavy burden. Comfort them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and surround them with Your presence. Strengthen their faith, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Give them wisdom to make decisions, and let them feel the support of Your people as we stand with them in prayer.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who conquered sin and death and rose again so that we might have life abundantly. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Cling to His promises, and trust that He hears you. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your life and your son’s life fully to Jesus Christ. There is no greater security than resting in His hands. If you would like to talk more about what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus, we are here to guide you.
Stand firm in faith, knowing that our God is able. We are praying with you and for you, believing for a miracle. Keep us updated, and let us continue to lift your son before the Lord until we see his complete restoration.
