We understand your concern about the security of your identity, and we join you in lifting this matter before the Lord, for He is our protector and provider in all things. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 121:7-8, *"Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."* While we take practical steps to safeguard our personal information, we must ultimately trust in God’s sovereignty and care over every detail of our lives, including our identity and provisions.
It is also important to remember that our true identity is found in Christ alone. In a world where earthly identities can be stolen or compromised, our identity as children of God remains unshakable. Ephesians 1:4-5 tells us, *"He chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love, having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire."* No thief, no scheme of the enemy, and no worldly circumstance can take away the identity we have in Him.
We also want to gently remind you that when we come before God in prayer, we are to approach Him through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find authority and assurance in our prayers. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
Let us pray together for your protection and peace:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is concerned about the security of their identity. Lord, You are the God who sees all things and holds all things together by the power of Your word. We ask that You would surround them with Your divine protection, guarding their personal information and shielding them from any schemes of the enemy or the hands of those who seek to do harm. Give them wisdom, Lord, to take the necessary practical steps to secure their identity, and grant them peace that surpasses all understanding as they trust in You.
Father, we also thank You that their true identity is found in Christ. No earthly thief can steal the identity You have given them as Your beloved child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Strengthen them in this truth, and let them walk in the confidence of knowing they are Yours. May they find rest in Your promises and trust in Your unfailing love.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, and we declare that You, Lord, are their protector and provider. Let them experience Your peace and provision in every area of their life. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, trusting that He is faithful to watch over you. Take practical steps to protect your information, but rest in the knowledge that your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). If you ever feel overwhelmed, remember to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Stay rooted in His Word, and may the Lord bless you and keep you in all your ways.
