We understand that you're facing challenges in your marriage due to your husband's different beliefs and the arguments that arise whenever you sense a spiritual breakthrough. We want to encourage you and pray with you, but we also want to address some important biblical principles related to your situation.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God's will is indeed for us to pray and seek Him continually. It is written, "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB). However, it is not God's will for us to have to hide this from a spouse to avoid complications. This is a call for us to pray for God's will to be done in your husband's life and your marriage.
It's also crucial to address the issue of unequally yoked relationships. The Bible teaches, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). While we understand that you are already married, this is not a reason for divorce. Instead it is a call for us to pray and believe for your husband's salvation. It is written, "Wife, how do you know whether you will save your husband? Or husband, how do you know whether you will save your wife?" (1 Corinthians 7:16 WEB).
Regarding the arguments, we must remember the teachings of the Bible: "Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife" (Proverbs 17:1 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the struggles she's facing in her marriage, the arguments that arise whenever she seeks You. We pray, Father, that You would soften her husband's heart, that You would reveal Yourself to him and draw him to You.
Lord, we also pray for unity in their marriage. We rebuke the spirit of strife and division, and we ask You to fill their home with Your peace and love. Help them to communicate effectively and to resolve conflicts in a way that honors You.
Father, we also pray for our sister's strength and endurance. Give her the wisdom to navigate these challenges and the courage to stand firm in her faith. Remind her constantly of Your love and presence with her.
Lastly Lord, we pray for all of us that we are reminded that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to you. For there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, both for your husband and your marriage. Remember the words of the Apostle Peter, "Wives, in the same way, be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives" (1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB).
Trust in the Lord, and remain faithful to Him. He is able to turn this situation around for your good and His glory.
