Please pray for me and my family..My husband is an alcoholic and of course does not admit it...He does not drink everyday but when he does he cannot drink just one or two..He has way to many and we wind up in arguments..I have a 10 year old son who sees his dad like this and he knows what is going on...I have begged and pleaded with him to stop...The police brought him home one night fortunately they did not carry him to jail. He was just in a one vehicle accident two weeks ago and he always says it wasn't his fault.....Please I am at my wits end...I am trying to honor my vows and I do not know what else to do...

I pray that God will give you comfort, and the wisdom to know what to do next. This is a very difficult and painful situation, especially for your son. I pray that your husband will be set free from whatever brings on these drinking binges, that he will realize the hurt that his problem is causing, and he would seek the appropriate help that is needed. Ultimately, keep you and your son safe. Alcohol leads to very unpredictable behavior and you and your child's safety is of the utmost importance. Draw close to our loving Father, and place your husband in His hands. Please talk openly with your son and assure him that he is loved and that none of this is his fault. He is at an age where he can be scarred forever. We are not in the same situation, however my daughter is 12, and I constantly tell her how much I love her and how much Jesus loves her and that what is going on with me and how I sometimes act towards her is not her fault. Also, take care of yourself! You are important! May God bless you and your family!

Lord, I pray that you will help this man and deliver him from his bondage to alcohol. Let not this mans addiction destroy his marriage, ruin his life or restrict him from Gods kingdom (1 Cor. 6:9,10; Gal. 5:21). Let conviction weigh heavy on his heart that he might come to repentance and be transformed by a renewed and sober mind (Rom. 12:1,2; Tit. 2:12) and set free from this addiction by the power of God (Jn. 8:36). Lord, Save this marriage and this mans life, for You have the power to save and set free those in bondage through Christ our Lord. May he turn to You and find deliverance and may his heart and life be cleansed (Ps. 73:13), in His name we ask these things, amen!

"Wash me throughly from mine iniquity , and cleanse me from my sin...Purge me with hyssop, and i shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow...deliver me...O God, thou God of my salvation." (Ps. 51:2,7,14)

Let the spirit of alcohol addiction be broken in his life, liquor to turn bitter on his lips, O Lord, that he would despise and refuse all alcohol. Put the right desires in his heart, draw him to you, Lord, and restore his marriage. In the name of Jesus, we give thanks now for it, amen!
