We lift up your father and brother before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, asking our Heavenly Father to move mightily in this situation. The Word reminds us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that God hears the cries of His children and is able to restore health even when circumstances seem dire.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, asking for Your healing hand to touch this precious life. We pray for strength and restoration for his lungs, that every breath would be filled with Your life-giving power. Lord, we know that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Comfort this family as they walk through this valley, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. We also lift up his brother, asking for peace that surpasses all understanding to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give him endurance, wisdom, and the right words to speak life and hope into this situation.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this man is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life over his body, commanding every cell to align with Your perfect design. Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in this situation, we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. Your Word says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We pray for complete restoration—spirit, soul, and body.
We also encourage this family to seek godly counsel from their local church, to have elders pray over him, and to stand firm on the promises of God. Remember, the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We resist the lies of the enemy that say healing is not possible and declare that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray and believe for a miracle. Amen.
