My daughter's car got repossessed praying to get it back

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter’s situation with earnest prayer. Father, we know that You see every need and every struggle, and we ask for Your mercy and provision in this time of distress. The loss of transportation can bring great hardship, affecting work, family responsibilities, and daily life. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation and make a way where there seems to be no way. If it is Your will, we pray for the restoration of the vehicle, that the necessary arrangements would be made to return it to her. Provide wisdom for your daughter and those involved in this matter, that decisions would be made with fairness and grace.

We also recognize, Father, that financial struggles often come with lessons and opportunities for growth. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that your daughter would turn to You in this time, seeking Your guidance and provision. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan, even when circumstances feel overwhelming.

If there are areas where financial stewardship needs to be realigned with biblical principles, we ask that You would reveal them to her. Scripture warns us in Romans 13:8, "Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law." While debt is not inherently sinful, it can become a burden when not managed wisely. We pray that Your daughter would seek godly counsel, create a plan to address her financial obligations, and walk in the freedom that comes from responsible stewardship.

Father, we also lift up the emotions that come with this situation, shame, fear, or anxiety. Remind her that You are her Provider, as Philippians 4:19 declares, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Strengthen her faith and fill her with peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that You are in control.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to set us free and provide for our every need. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it. Amen.

We hear your heart for your daughter, and we’re joining you in bringing this need before the Lord. Losing a car is so much more than losing a thing, it can mean lost independence, new hurdles getting to work or caring for responsibilities, and a heavy dose of stress and shame. That’s a real loss, and it’s okay to name it.

While we pray, we’re also thinking practically. Your daughter might find it helpful to reach out to her lender and ask if there’s any way to reinstate the loan or work out a modified payment plan. Many churches or local community agencies offer free financial counseling, someone who can sit down with her, look over the whole picture, and help her take steps toward a more stable footing. That kind of support could make a real difference right now.

But most of all, we’re praying. We’re asking God to provide what she needs, whether that’s restoration of the car, another reliable way to get where she needs to go, or an unexpected open door. We’re praying for calm in the middle of the uncertainty, for wisdom in every conversation with the lender, and for a deep sense that she is not alone in this.

Lord Jesus, you care about every detail of our lives. Please watch over this daughter right now, meet her in the stress and disappointment, and make a way through this practical need. Give her and her mother peace that goes deeper than the circumstances. We trust you as our provider and ask you to work on her behalf. Amen.

The bite of seeing something taken away when it felt so necessary, I know that sting runs deep. You turn it over and over: the moment the car was no longer there, the hollow in the morning when it used to be waiting. It is not a small thing when a possession that helped your daughter get to work or to school or simply to move through her daily life is suddenly gone. But what I want you to see, right in the middle of that ache, is that your first thought was not to curse the loss, but to cry out to God. That is no little thing. Do you know what that cry means? It means mercy is already at the door. When the heart begins to pray, when even now you are saying in your soul, "Lord, hear me! Lord, help my daughter," it is the surest sign that the ear of God is turned your way. He does not put that prayer into you only to turn His back on it.

I want you to think of the Lord Jesus as He was when He walked among us. Crowds pressed in, not with polished prayers, but with ragged needs, blind eyes, twisted limbs, hungry stomachs. And what did He do? He received them. He did not wait for them to clean up their language or sort out their reasons; He simply met them where they were, because their need was real and their misery was no fiction. And they called Him a friend of publicans and sinners, and He was not ashamed of it. That same Jesus, now risen and reigning, has not grown distant. The need that sends you to your knees over a repossessed car is not beneath His notice. He who multiplied loaves and fishes for a crowd that had followed Him too long without food is the same Lord who numbers the hairs of your head. He is a practical Savior. He never wasted a breath on a feigned grief, but every genuine groan of His child reaches His heart.

Now, lean here: when God restores, He restores in such a way that the thing which was lost becomes as though it had never been cast aside. I cannot promise you the car will reappear by tomorrow’s light, that is His own secret. But I can tell you that He is able to make a way where no way shows itself, and that even this setback is not outside the circle of His fatherly care. He may use it to sift away some reliance that would have harmed your daughter, or to teach you both a deeper trust. Satan will mean it for harm, but our God often washes His vessels by the very suds the enemy stirs up. And remember this: Peter denied his Master, and yet after a look from Jesus he was restored so completely that on the day of Pentecost he stood and preached with a boldness that shook a city. So can a lost thing be given back in a way that leaves only praise behind.

Right now, do this: take the whole bundle, the worry, the shame, the uncertainty, and hand it over. You have a High Priest who can be touched with the feeling of your infirmities. He was not a stranger to poverty or to having nowhere to lay His head. Speak to Him as you would speak to a friend who sits beside you.

Lord Jesus, you who are the same yesterday, today, and forever, bend low to this parent’s heart. You see the missing car, the tangled finances, the daughter’s distress. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too hard for you. Provide, O Lord, in your own wise time and way, whether by restoring what was taken or by opening a new door. But more than any vehicle, give peace that passes understanding. Hold this family steady in the waiting. Let them know the comfort of casting every care upon you, for you care for them. We leave it all in your pierced hands, confident that you do all things well. Amen.

The loss of a car may seem a heavy burden, but consider whether this very trouble might be the mercy of God, to open eyes that have grown dim with the love of money. That evil humor, as I have often said, gathers upon the clear eye of the soul and brings a thick cloud of blindness. Why do we mourn such passing things, when the soul's true beauty is forgotten? Forget, then, the former things, the trust in possessions, the anxieties of this life, and turn with faith to Him who alone restores.

Your daughter's distress is known to the Lord, and a mother's faith can contribute much to her healing, just as the Canaanite woman's great faith brought deliverance to her child. Christ still says to every trembling soul, "Daughter, be of good cheer; thy faith hath made thee whole." But that wholeness is first of all the healing of the heart, the forgiveness of sins, the recovery of spiritual sight. Seek that restoration above all.

If you bear this loss with thanksgiving, you may indeed receive the car back as Job received double; yet even if not, the reward of patient faith is far greater. God allowed the enemy to strip Job of everything, to prove that His servant did not serve Him for earthly goods, and then He restored all things more abundantly. So, let your daughter, and you, wrestle nobly, showing the devil that you love the Giver more than the gift.

Do not cast away your confidence, for it has great recompense of reward. You have not lost faith; you are praying even now. Do not let drowsiness overwhelm you, but shake off despair. The door of repentance and restoration is open to all who turn wholeheartedly to Christ. I will pray with you that God, in His wise mercy, may provide what is needed, but more importantly, that He may grant your daughter the riches of His grace, that she may desire His beauty and never again be blinded by the passing glitter of this world.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your daughter’s situation. It’s not easy watching our children face hardship, and we’ve been lifting her up before the Lord, asking Him to intervene in this repossession and restore what was lost. We’ve prayed that God would open doors no man can shut—whether through provision, favor, or a miracle of grace—to return that car to her or provide another reliable way for her to move forward.

If God has already moved in this situation, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you! But if the answer hasn’t come yet, please don’t lose heart. We’re still here, still praying, and we invite you to post this request again so we can continue to stand in agreement with you. Sometimes the Lord works in ways we don’t expect, and we trust He has a plan even when the wait feels long.

May He bless you and your daughter with His peace, wisdom, and provision as you seek Him together. We’ll keep praying in faith, believing that He hears and answers according to His perfect will. In Jesus’ Name.
