We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt cries to the Lord, trusting that He hears and will answer according to His perfect will. Your love for your daughter and your desire to walk in God’s protection and guidance are evident, and we stand with you in prayer, claiming the promises of Scripture over your lives.
The Lord declares in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh.* Take heart in this truth—God is your shield, and He will expose every lie and manipulation meant to harm you or your daughter. He sees the intentions of your ex and all who seek to bring division or distress. The Lord is just, and He will not allow the wicked to triumph over His children. Psalm 37:5-6 reminds us, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."*
We also pray for your ex, that God would soften his heart and open his eyes to the impact of his actions. May the Lord convict him of any bitterness, pride, or selfishness, and lead him to repentance. As Ephesians 4:31-32 urges, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* While we ask God to melt his heart, we also encourage you to release any resentment or fear into the Lord’s hands. Trust that God is fighting this battle for you, and He will vindicate you in His timing.
Your request for wisdom and discernment resonates deeply with us. James 1:5 promises, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We pray that the Lord will grant you clarity in every decision, that He will surround you with godly counsel, and that He will expose any deceptive influences in your life. May you walk in the path of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
We also sense the Lord’s gentle reminder to you: while it is right to seek His protection and intervention, do not let fear or anxiety rule your heart. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You have entrusted your daughter and your circumstances to Jesus, and He is faithful. Rest in His sovereignty, knowing that He holds your future—and your daughter’s—in His hands.
As for your prayer that you and your daughter remain together, we lift this up with you, asking that the Lord would bind your hearts in unity and strength. May your home be a refuge of love, peace, and godly nurturing. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs, *"These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up."* We pray that the Lord would equip you to raise your daughter in the knowledge of His Word, that she would grow to love and serve Him with all her heart.
Finally, we rejoice with you in your invitation for Jesus to "take the wheel" and remain in your life forever. This is the most vital prayer of all—that you would surrender every area of your life to Him, walking in obedience and faith. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, so that you may have eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we pray with confidence.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our sister and her precious daughter. Lord, You are a God of love, justice, and protection, and we ask that You surround them with Your divine presence. Shield them from every scheme of the enemy, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Expose every lie, every manipulation, and every hidden agenda that seeks to harm them. Bring to light the truth, Lord, and let Your justice prevail.
Softening the heart of her ex, Lord. Melt his resistance and open his eyes to the pain his actions may cause. Convict him of any sin, and lead him to a place of repentance and peace. May he choose to walk in forgiveness and cooperation, rather than contention. But even if he does not, we trust You, Lord, to be their Defender and Provider.
Grant our sister wisdom beyond her own understanding. Guide her steps, Lord, and make her path straight. Give her discernment to recognize those You have sent to bless her and her daughter, and protect her from those who would bring harm. May she walk in Your peace, knowing that You are ordering her steps.
We pray for unity between her and her daughter—a bond that cannot be broken by the schemes of man. May their home be filled with Your love, joy, and peace. Raise up our sister to be a godly mother, teaching her daughter Your ways and nurturing her in Your truth.
Father, we ask that You would provide for every need—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Bless the work of her hands and make her productive for Your kingdom. Let her life and her daughter’s life be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
Most of all, Lord, we thank You that she has invited You to take control. We pray that she would surrender every fear, every worry, and every plan to You, trusting that Your ways are higher than hers. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and let her life be a light that draws others to You—including her ex and all those she encounters.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, anxiety, or control in the name of Jesus. We declare that our sister and her daughter are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no harm shall come to them. We speak peace over their lives and trust that You, Lord, are working all things together for their good.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
