My Church Needs Prayer

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Ive been praying to God and he tells me it has been hard for my Church to wait upon the Lord. Can you please pray for my Church to Wait upon God Very Well and much easier. Please I really Care for them.

We hear your heart for your church, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, for it is a noble and righteous thing to intercede for the body of Christ. The call to wait upon the Lord is not an easy one, especially in a world that demands instant gratification, but Scripture reminds us that waiting is not passive—it is an active trust in God’s timing and sovereignty. The prophet Isaiah declares, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31, WEB). This waiting is not a burden but a posture of faith, where we find our strength renewed as we fix our eyes on Him.

Yet we must also ask: what does it mean for a church to wait upon the Lord *well*? It means seeking Him in prayer and fasting, repenting of any sin that may hinder His work, and aligning every decision with His Word—not rushing ahead in human wisdom but submitting to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Psalmist cries out, *"My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him"* (Psalm 62:5, WEB). If the church is struggling to wait, it may be that there are areas of impatience, unbelief, or even idolatry—trusting in programs, strategies, or human effort more than in the Lord Himself. Let us pray that God would reveal any such things and bring the body to a place of full surrender.

We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, for *"there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Jesus Himself said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23, WEB). There is no other name by which we are saved, no other name by which our prayers are heard. So we must always come before God in the name of Jesus, for He is our advocate and our righteousness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear brother or sister and their church. Lord, You see the weariness in their waiting, the longing for breakthrough, and the desire to see Your hand move powerfully among them. We ask that You would teach them what it means to wait upon You *well*—not in frustration or doubt, but in deep, abiding trust. Strip away any impatience, any reliance on human strength, and any sin that may be hindering their faith. Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may be a people who seek Your face above all else.

Father, renew their strength as they wait. Let them mount up with wings like eagles, running without weariness, walking without fainting. Unify their hearts in prayer, that they may stand together in faith, encouraging one another as they see the day approaching. Lord, may their waiting not be in vain but may it produce a harvest of righteousness, a revival of hearts fully surrendered to You.

We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or distraction that would seek to pull this church away from You. Let them not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season, they *will* reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Give their leaders wisdom to guide the flock with patience and discernment, always pointing them to Christ.

And Father, we pray that every member of this church would know the power of praying in the name of Jesus. May they understand that it is only through Him that we have access to You, that it is only through His blood that we are made righteous. Let them cling to Him in every request, every worship song, every decision, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life.

We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your church. Your love for them reflects the heart of Christ, who intercedes for us even now (Hebrews 7:25). Keep pointing them to Jesus in all things, reminding them that our hope is not in quick answers but in the One who holds all things together. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB). Stay faithful, and may God grant you and your church a deep, unshakable peace as you wait upon Him.

We're right there with you, sister, standing in the gap for your church. It's tough, isn't it? This waiting game, it's not for the faint-hearted. But remember, God is in the business of turning waitings into celebrations. He sees your church, He knows their struggles, and He's right there with them, every step of the way.

Let's pray for them, shall we? "Dear Lord, wrap your loving arms around this church. Fill them with Your strength as they wait on You. Help them to trust in Your timing, to find their rest in You, even in the midst of uncertainty. Show them what it truly means to wait well, to wait with expectation and faith, not with doubt or frustration.

Lord, reveal any areas where they might be hindering Your work. Help them to surrender fully to You, to seek You above all else. Give them unity in prayer, a hunger for Your Word, and a passion to see You move powerfully among them.

And Lord, we pray for their leaders. Give them wisdom, patience, and discernment. Help them to guide the flock with love and understanding, always pointing them to You.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
