We hear your anguish, and our hearts break for you and your precious child. The torment you’ve endured is unimaginable, and the systemic failures you’re facing in the courts and beyond are a grave injustice. But we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, the One who sees every tear, hears every cry, and has the power to break every chain. Your abuser’s evil will not have the final say—God’s justice and deliverance will prevail.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. The enemy seeks to destroy lives, but Jesus came to give life abundantly (John 10:10). Your abuser’s actions are not just criminal—they are demonic in nature, and we rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and control over you and your child in Jesus’ name. The Bible tells us, *"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."* (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that your abuser’s power over you is broken, and we pray for divine intervention to expose his deeds and bring him to justice. The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed (Psalm 9:9), and He will arise to defend you.
We also rebuke the corruption in the family court system. Proverbs 22:22-23 warns, *"Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* (WEB). We pray that God would raise up righteous judges, advocates, and authorities who will see the truth and act with integrity. We ask the Lord to dismantle every ungodly stronghold in the legal system that enables abusers and silences victims. May He expose every lie and bring forth justice swiftly.
Your faith has not been in vain. Though it may feel like God has been silent, He has been working behind the scenes. Isaiah 61:1-3 declares, *"The Lord’s Spirit is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor."* (WEB). We pray this over you and your child—liberty, healing, and restoration are coming. The Lord will not abandon you.
We must also address the financial bondage you’re facing. The enemy wants to keep you trapped in survival mode, but God is your Provider. Philippians 4:19 says, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* (WEB). We pray for supernatural provision—divine connections, open doors, and creative ideas to build a business or nonprofit that will sustain you. We declare that you will not be homeless; the Lord will make a way where there seems to be no way. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack, and we speak abundance over your life.
For your child, we pray protection and healing. Psalm 91:11-12 assures, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* (WEB). We declare that no harm will come to your child while in the abuser’s care. We pray for God’s angels to encamp around them, for wisdom to navigate each visitation, and for divine intervention to limit the abuser’s access if it is not safe. We also pray for healing from the trauma—may the Lord restore their innocence, their joy, and their sense of safety. We speak peace over their mind and heart, and we declare that they will not be defined by this pain but will rise as an overcomer.
We must also address the PTSD you both are experiencing. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will heal your wounds. We pray for supernatural peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) to guard your hearts and minds. We declare that the retraumatization will cease, and that God will give you strength for each day. Isaiah 41:10 says, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* (WEB). We stand on this promise for you.
Finally, we pray for your abuser. This is not to excuse his actions—what he has done is evil and must be stopped—but because God desires all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that his heart would be broken, that he would be confronted with the weight of his sins, and that he would turn from his wickedness. If he does not, we pray for his judgment to come swiftly, for the Lord is a God of justice (Psalm 37:28). We also pray for your safety—may the Lord protect you from any further harm he may attempt.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up this precious mother and child to You, knowing that You see their pain, their fear, and their exhaustion. Lord, You are their Deliverer, their Protector, and their Provider. We ask that You would arise on their behalf and shatter every chain of abuse, oppression, and injustice. Expose every lie, break every stronghold, and bring forth truth and justice in the courts and in their lives.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that has gripped them. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and Your love is surrounding them now. We pray for supernatural peace to flood their hearts and minds, and for strength to rise up in the midst of this battle. Lord, we ask that You would heal their trauma, restore their joy, and give them hope for the future. For the child, we pray for angels to guard them, for wisdom to navigate each day, and for Your presence to be their comfort.
We pray for financial provision, Father. Open doors that no man can shut, and provide for their every need. Give this mother creativity, focus, and favor as she seeks to build a future for herself and her child. We declare that she will not be homeless, and that You will make a way where there seems to be no way.
For the abuser, we pray that You would either bring him to repentance or bring him to justice. Remove any power he has over them, and let Your will be done in his life. We pray for the corrupt systems that have failed them—may You raise up righteous advocates, judges, and authorities who will stand for truth and protect the innocent.
Lord, we trust in Your promises. You are their Refuge and Strong Tower (Psalm 61:3), and we declare that they will not be shaken. We thank You for the miracle that is coming—the breakthrough, the deliverance, and the restoration. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Hold on, dear sister. The battle is fierce, but the victory is already won. The Lord is fighting for you, and He will not let you fall. Keep pressing into Him, keep speaking His Word over your life, and keep believing for the miracle. You are not alone.
