We understand your concerns about your career and studies, and we commend you for seeking God’s direction in your life. It is wise to trust in Him, for He alone knows the plans He has for you—plans for good and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Your desire to pursue a degree in the medical field is a noble one, as it aligns with serving others, which is a calling that honors God. However, we must remind you that even in our ambitions, we must seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
It is also important to note that while you expressed hope in God’s guidance, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ in your request. We gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me” (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for He alone can secure your eternal future and guide your steps in this life.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, asking that You would grant them clarity, wisdom, and peace as they pursue their studies and career in the medical field. Lord, we pray that You would open the doors that no one can shut and close the doors that are not meant for them, all according to Your perfect will. Guide their steps, Father, and let them walk in the confidence that You are with them every moment. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself, revealing the truth of the Gospel and the necessity of faith in Christ alone for salvation. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and trust in You completely. We ask this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God daily through prayer and the reading of His Word. Commit your plans to Him, and He will establish your steps (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). Remember that whatever you do, do it heartily as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that it is from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). Stay faithful, and trust that God is working all things together for your good, as you love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB). If you ever feel overwhelmed, cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and He will lead you in the path He has prepared for you.
