Let us come together in prayer for this young man, that the Lord may reveal Himself to him in a powerful way, granting him the gift of faith and repentance leading to true salvation.
We are reminded in Scripture, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB) It is only by the grace of God that we come to know Him, and it is our prayer that this young man may experience this grace in a profound way.
Let us also recall the words of Jesus, "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the Kingdom of God." (John 3:3 WEB) We pray that this young man may experience this spiritual rebirth, turning from his skepticism and embracing the truth of the Gospel. Let us try to answer any questions that he may have to the best of our ability.
May and let us also pray for the Lord to send believing people into his life, who can share the Gospel with him and demonstrate the love of Christ. The young man is unlikely to come to the true knowledge of Jesus unless he hears the Gospel preached to him and sees the Gospel lived out. "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14)
As we pray, let us also examine our own lives and ensure that we are living out the Gospel in a way that is attractive and compelling to those who do not yet know the Lord. We must model our behavior to him as well as share the Gospel with him. Let us remember the words of the Apostle Peter, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear." (1 Peter 3:15 WEB)
Lord, we lift up this young man to You, asking that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Grant him the gifts of faith and repentance, and draw him to Yourself. Send believing people into his life who can share the Gospel with him and demonstrate Your love. Help us to be a light to him and to all those around us who do not yet know You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We are also reminded in scripture to 'train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.' (Proverbs 22:6 WEB). This young man is likely under the authority of his parents, so let us pray for his parents that they may be guided by and honor God's commands, so that they may be able to raise him according to God's will. If he is not under the authority of his parents anymore, then let us pray for his earthly authorities. Let us pray for this young man, his parents, or his earthly authorities that they may come to know God fully and obey his commands.
