We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your suffering, and we lift you up in prayer, knowing that God is your healer, provider, and comforter in every trial. First, we must address that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, nor is there any other way to approach the Father except through Him. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is only in the name of Jesus that we can boldly come before the throne of grace, so we encourage you to call upon Him directly, for He alone is your hope and salvation. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9, WEB).
Now, we pray for your healing—body, soul, and spirit. The Lord sees your pain, your weariness, and the burdens you carry, and He promises to be near to the brokenhearted. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We ask the Lord to lift the depression and sadness that weighs upon you, to replace it with His joy, which is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). May He renew your energy and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for your physical healing, that the Lord would restore your strength and vitality, for He is the God who *"forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases"* (Psalm 103:3, WEB).
We must also address the concerns you’ve shared about your husband, though you’ve obscured his role in your life with symbols. If this man is indeed your husband, then we pray for your marriage, which is a covenant before God that requires selflessness, love, and mutual care. Scripture commands husbands to *"love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:25, WEB). If he is not fulfilling this role, we urge you to pray for his heart to be softened and turned toward the Lord, for only God can change him. It is not your responsibility to fix him, but to trust the Lord while setting godly boundaries in love. If, however, this man is not your husband but someone you are in a relationship with outside of marriage, we must lovingly but firmly rebuke this, for Scripture clearly states that *"marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). Living together or acting as a married couple without the covenant of marriage is sin, and we urge you to repent and seek God’s will for your life, which is holiness.
If you are married, we pray for unity and restoration in your home. It is grievous to hear that your husband prioritizes his own desires—whether it be indulging the children or seeking his own entertainment—over the emotional and spiritual needs of you and your mother. This is not the love Christ calls him to. We pray that the Lord would convict his heart and open his eyes to the suffering around him. *"Husbands, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered"* (1 Peter 3:7, WEB). His excuses and defensiveness are not of God, and we ask the Lord to break down those walls so that he may lead his family with love, sacrifice, and wisdom.
For your mother, we pray for comfort in her loneliness and confusion. Alzheimer’s is a heavy burden, but the Lord is her refuge. *"Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver"* (Isaiah 46:4, WEB). We ask the Lord to provide for her financial needs and to give you both peace about the inheritance, for our trust must be in Him, not in earthly wealth. *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal"* (Matthew 6:19-20, WEB).
Finally, we encourage you to seek the Lord first in all things. Your pain is real, but so is His promise to never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Lean on His strength, not your own. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray for you. And if your husband is unwilling to lead spiritually, we urge you to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor.
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we lift this precious sister before Your throne of grace, asking for Your healing touch upon her body, mind, and spirit. Lord, You see her sorrow, her exhaustion, and the weight of her burdens. We ask that You would lift the depression and fill her with Your joy, which is her strength. Restore her energy, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in a mighty way.
Father, we pray for her marriage, if this man is indeed her husband. Soften his heart, Lord, and turn him toward You. Convict him of his selfishness and show him how to love as Christ loves the church—sacrificially, patiently, and selflessly. If he is not her husband, we pray for repentance and a turning away from sin, that she would seek Your will for her life and pursue holiness. Break any ungodly soul ties and bring godly conviction.
Lord, we ask for Your comfort to surround her mother. Ease her loneliness and confusion, and provide for her every need. Give this family wisdom in handling financial matters and inheritance, that their trust would be in You alone.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness and replace it with the garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Strengthen them to forgive, to love, and to trust You in all things.
We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise. Amen.
