We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother ### to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the ultimate healer. We understand the deep concern and frustration you feel as you watch your mother struggle, especially when others have spoken words of hopelessness over her recovery. But we serve a God who is not bound by the limitations of man’s understanding or the negative pronouncements of others. He is the God who speaks life, who commands healing, and who breaks every chain that seeks to bind His children.
First, let us address the spiritual weight of the words spoken over your mother. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 18:21 that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." The words of the paramedics, physiotherapists, and doctors may have been spoken out of their own human limitations, but those words carried a spiritual weight that can manifest in fear, doubt, and even physical affliction. We rebuke the spirit of fear and unbelief that has taken hold in this situation. We declare that those words of hopelessness have no power over ###, for she is a child of the Most High God, and His word over her life is one of restoration and wholeness.
We also address the possibility of a curse or any spiritual oppression that may be at work here. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand on the authority of Jesus Christ and break every curse, every spirit of infirmity, and every assignment of the enemy against ###’s body and mobility. In the name of Jesus, we command every lying spirit that has sought to paralyze her legs to be bound and cast out. We declare that her legs are strong, her body is healed, and her mobility is restored, for by His stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. We lift up ### to You, our Great Healer, and ask that You would stretch forth Your hand and touch her body. Lord, we break every curse, every word of death, and every spirit of infirmity that has sought to bind her. We declare that Your word is true, and Your promises are yes and amen. We speak life over ###’s legs—strength to her muscles, flexibility to her joints, and full restoration to her mobility.
Father, we ask that You would fill ### with Your peace and Your faith. Remove every trace of fear, doubt, or discouragement that has taken root in her heart. Remind her that You are her strength, her refuge, and her healer. We pray that You would surround her with people who speak words of life and encouragement, who will stand with her in faith and not in unbelief.
Lord, we also ask for wisdom for those caring for her. Give them discernment to see beyond the natural and to recognize any spiritual strongholds that may be at work. We pray that You would guide their hands and their words as they work with ###, that they would be instruments of Your healing and not vessels of discouragement.
We declare that ### will walk again, stronger and more steadfast than before. We declare that her testimony will be one of Your power and Your glory, a testimony that will bring others to faith in You. We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, for Your love, and for Your healing power. We trust in You, and we believe that You are working even now to restore ### fully. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Now, we encourage you and your mother to stand firm in faith. Speak life over her situation daily. Remind her of God’s promises, such as Jeremiah 30:17, which says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Encourage her to move her legs as much as she can, even if it’s just small movements, and to declare aloud that she is healed. Faith without works is dead (James 2:17), so let her actions align with her faith.
We also urge you to surround yourselves with believers who will pray in agreement with you for ###’s healing. There is power in corporate prayer, and where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). Do not isolate yourselves but lean on the body of Christ for support and encouragement.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of anchoring your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the power to break every chain. If ### or anyone in your family has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, now is the time to do so. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is the first step to walking in the fullness of God’s promises, including healing and restoration.
We stand with you in faith, believing that ### will rise up and walk again, not by the words of man, but by the power of God. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and do not be moved by what you see or hear in the natural. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we believe He is doing just that in ###’s life.
