We lift up your mother before the Lord, asking for His healing touch upon her body, mind, and spirit. Shingles can be a painful and trying affliction, but we know our God is the Great Physician, who is able to restore health and bring comfort in times of suffering. The Bible reminds us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over your mother, trusting in God’s mercy and power to heal.
It is also important to remember that healing comes in God’s timing and according to His will. Sometimes, He allows trials to refine our faith and draw us closer to Him. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Even in suffering, God is working for our ultimate good and His glory.
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* It is only through the name of Jesus that our prayers are heard and answered. If you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, we urge you to place your faith in Him, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repenting of sin and believing in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, conquering death so that we might have eternal life.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this mother who is suffering from shingles and shivers. Lord, You are the God who heals, the One who binds up wounds and restores strength. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon her, relieving her pain, calming her body, and renewing her health. Give her comfort in this time of distress, and let her feel Your presence surrounding her like a warm embrace.
We pray for wisdom for those caring for her, that they may provide the support and medical attention she needs. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are near, even in this trial. If there is any sin or unforgiveness in her life, we ask that You reveal it to her and grant her the grace to repent and be cleansed, so that nothing may hinder Your work in her life.
Father, we also lift up the one who has brought this request before us. Draw them closer to You, and if they do not yet know Jesus as their Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Open their heart to receive Your truth, Your love, and Your forgiveness. May they place their full trust in Christ alone for eternal life.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things for the good of those who love You. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
