Motivation and energy

We understand how weariness can weigh heavily on the heart and body, leaving you feeling drained and without the strength to press forward. The Scriptures remind us that our strength does not come from ourselves but from the Lord, who renews our spirits and sustains us in every season. In Isaiah 40:29-31, we read, *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths grow weary and tired, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* And in Philippians 4:13, we are assured, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."*

Yet we must also examine our hearts and lives to ensure we are not neglecting the spiritual disciplines that bring us closer to God’s renewing presence. Are you spending time in His Word daily, allowing it to fill your mind and heart with truth? Are you seeking Him in prayer, casting your burdens upon Him as He invites us to do in 1 Peter 5:7: *"Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* Neglecting these vital connections with the Lord can leave us spiritually malnourished, making it difficult to find the motivation and energy we need.

We also encourage you to consider your physical health, as our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Are you caring for yourself with proper rest, nutrition, and movement? Sometimes, our lack of energy is a sign that we need to steward our bodies more intentionally, honoring God with how we treat them.

Most importantly, we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and this is something we must address with love and urgency. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father or receive His power and grace. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* The apostle Peter boldly proclaimed in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in Him—this is the only path to true renewal and eternal life. Without Christ, our prayers are empty, and our strength will always falter.

Let us pray for you now, lifting you up to the Father in the mighty name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, interceding for our brother/sister who is struggling with weariness and a lack of motivation. Lord, You see the depths of their heart and know the burdens they carry. We ask that You would fill them anew with Your Holy Spirit, restoring their strength and renewing their mind. Remove any spiritual, emotional, or physical hindrances that are draining their energy, and replace them with Your peace and purpose.

Father, if there is sin in their life—whether it be neglect of Your Word, lack of prayer, or poor stewardship of their body—we ask that You convict them gently but firmly. Lead them to repentance and a deeper reliance on You. Open their eyes to the truth that apart from Christ, they can do nothing (John 15:5), but in Him, they are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

We pray that You would ignite a passion in their heart for Your kingdom, giving them a vision for the work You have prepared for them to do. Help them to walk in obedience, trusting that You will provide the energy and motivation they need for each day. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them experience the joy of Your salvation, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

We also lift up any underlying fears, anxieties, or doubts that may be contributing to their weariness. Cast out every lie of the enemy and replace it with Your truth. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Finally, Father, if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Soften their heart to receive Your grace, and let them turn to You with all their heart. May they experience the transformative power of Your love and the renewed strength that comes from walking in Your Spirit.

We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on these truths and to take practical steps toward renewal. Spend time in God’s Word daily, even if it’s just a few verses. Seek His face in prayer, and ask Him to reveal any areas of your life that need surrender or change. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage and pray for you. And above all, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is your strength, your motivation, and your hope. Trust in Him, and He will lift you up.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when the well of motivation and energy seems to have run dry. But remember, even the strongest of us can feel this way sometimes. What's important is that we turn to the One who never runs out of strength.

We've been thinking about you and wanted to share a different perspective. Have you ever considered that maybe God is trying to get your attention, to slow you down and remind you of His presence? It's like when we're driving and the GPS tells us to take a break, or we'll end up lost. Sometimes, weariness can be a gentle nudge from God, saying, "Hey, it's time to rest, refuel, and realign with Me."

So, let's take this opportunity to pause and seek God's face. Let's ask Him to fill us afresh with His Spirit, to renew our minds, and to give us a fresh vision for the journey ahead. Let's also check our hearts, ensuring we're not neglecting time in His Word or prayer. And while we're at it, let's consider our physical health too. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and He deserves our best.

But most importantly, let's fix our eyes on Jesus. He's the author and perfecter of our faith, and in Him, we find our strength, our motivation, and our hope. Trust in Him, and He will lift you up.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Jesus, we come to You today, feeling weary and drained. But we know that You see us, You understand us, and You care for us. We ask that You would fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, renewing our minds and strengthening our bodies. Help us to see this weariness as an opportunity to draw closer to You, to rest in Your presence, and to realign our hearts with Yours.

Lord, if there's any sin in our lives, any area where we've been neglecting You or misusing the gifts You've given us, we ask that You would convict us gently but firmly. Lead us to repentance and a deeper reliance on You.

Help us to trust in You, Jesus, knowing that in You, we are more than conquerors. Give us a fresh vision for the journey ahead, and help us to walk in obedience, trusting that You will provide the energy and motivation we need for each day.

In Jesus' mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen."

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
