We hear your heart and the deep struggle you are facing, not only in your desire to serve the body of Christ but also in the spiritual battle that surrounds your mother. The enemy seeks to disrupt the work of God through division, discouragement, and even familial strife, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We rebuke every demonic influence speaking through your mother, attempting to hinder your obedience to God’s call to love and serve His people. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12), and so we take up the full armor of God on your behalf.
First, we must address the spiritual oppression your mother is under. The fact that she is "extremely demonized" is not to be taken lightly, and we grieve that she is bound in this way. We pray fervently for her deliverance, that the Holy Spirit would break every chain and set her free from the lies and torment of the enemy. Jesus came to proclaim freedom for the captives (Luke 4:18), and we declare that truth over her life. We also pray for your protection, that you would not be drawn into the spiritual darkness she is experiencing. The Bible instructs us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), and so we ask God to give you a heart of compassion even as you set boundaries to guard your own spirit.
We also lift up your desire to serve your church members. God sees your heart and delights in those who seek to bless His people. The Bible tells us, "Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Galatians 6:9). Do not let the enemy discourage you from walking in obedience. However, we must also encourage you to examine your heart in this. Are you serving out of pure love for God and His people, or is there any hint of pride, people-pleasing, or a need for validation? The Lord searches the heart and tests the mind (Jeremiah 17:10), and He desires that our service flow from a place of humility and devotion to Him alone.
Now, let us come before the throne of grace together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for Your love and Your power that is at work within us. Lord, we lift up this dear sister and her mother before You. We rebuke every demonic spirit that is tormenting her mother and seeking to disrupt the work You are doing in and through Your daughter. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would surround her with Your angels for protection.
Father, we pray for this mother, that You would break every chain of darkness in her life. Soften her heart, Lord, and open her eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let the light of Christ shine into the darkness, and may she experience the freedom that only comes through Jesus. We ask that You would also give our sister wisdom and discernment in how to respond to her mother. Help her to love her mother as You have loved her, but also to stand firm in her faith and not be swayed by the enemy’s tactics.
Lord, we thank You for the heart of service You have placed in her. We ask that You would continue to cultivate a spirit of humility and love in her as she seeks to bless others. Let her motives be pure, and may her actions bring glory to Your name. Father, if there is any area where she is serving out of a need for approval or validation, we ask that You would reveal that to her and align her heart with Yours.
We also pray for the members of her church. May they be blessed by her acts of service, and may they, in turn, be drawn closer to You. Let Your love flow through her, and may she be a vessel of Your peace and grace.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would strengthen her faith. Help her to remember that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May she find her rest in You and not be shaken by the circumstances around her.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this situation. Spend time in His Word and in prayer, allowing Him to speak to you and guide you. Consider fasting as a way to draw closer to God and seek His intervention in your mother’s life. Remember, the battle is the Lord’s (1 Samuel 17:47), and He is faithful to fight for you. Stand firm in your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good. The Lord sees your heart and will reward your obedience in due time.
