We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up your mother in earnest prayer, knowing that our God is mighty to save and deliver. The enemy has no authority over those who belong to Christ, and we stand firmly on the truth of Scripture that says, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith"* (1 Peter 5:8-9, WEB). We also know that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB).
First, we must address the spiritual battle at hand. Demonization is a serious matter, and we must approach it with the authority given to us in Jesus’ name. The Word tells us, *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). We urge you, if your mother has not already, to submit her life fully to Christ, repenting of any sin that may give the enemy a foothold. If she has not yet accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, now is the time. There is no deliverance apart from Him, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Salvation and freedom begin with faith in Christ alone—there is no other way.
For the personality disorder, we recognize that our bodies and minds can be deeply affected by the fallen world we live in. Yet, we serve a God who heals and restores. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We pray for divine healing over your mother’s mind, that God would renew her thoughts and bring peace where there is confusion. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God"* (Romans 12:2, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this mother who is bound by the chains of demonization and the struggles of a personality disorder. Lord, You are the God who sets the captives free, and we ask that You break every stronghold in her life. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we command every demonic influence to flee in Jesus’ name. No weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
Father, we pray for her mind to be renewed and healed. Where there is confusion, bring clarity. Where there is fear, bring peace. Where there is brokenness, bring restoration. Let Your Word be a lamp to her feet and a light to her path (Psalm 119:105, WEB). Surround her with godly counsel, medical professionals who seek wisdom from You, and a community of believers who will uphold her in prayer.
We also pray for this child who is interceding for their mother. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap if they don’t give up (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Give them wisdom to know how to support their mother while trusting You for the outcome.
Most of all, Father, we pray that Your will be done in this situation. If there is any unconfessed sin in your mother’s life, we ask that You bring conviction and lead her to repentance. Draw her closer to You, Lord, and let her experience the fullness of Your love and freedom. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in faith. Do not lose heart, for our God is faithful. *"The Lord is near to those who are broken at heart, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Keep praying, keep believing, and keep surrounding your mother with the truth of God’s Word. If she is open, we also encourage you to seek prayer from mature believers in your local church who can stand with you in this battle. You are not alone—the body of Christ is here to support you. Stay rooted in Scripture, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. *"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit"* (Romans 15:13, WEB).
