Mother

We lift up your mother to our Heavenly Father today as we celebrate the gift of her life and the many years she has faithfully served Him. What a blessing it is to honor a mother who not only leads her family but also shepherds God’s people as a pastor! Her dedication to the Lord’s work is a testament to her love for Christ and His church, and we thank God for her faithfulness in both her family and her calling.

The Scriptures remind us of the high value God places on those who serve Him with a pure heart. *"She looks well to the ways of her household, and doesn’t eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed. Her husband also praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you excel them all.’"* (Proverbs 31:27-29, WEB). Your mother’s life reflects this godly example, and we pray that the Lord continues to strengthen her, renew her spirit, and fill her with joy as she serves Him.

We also recall the words of Paul to Timothy: *"Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching"* (1 Timothy 5:17, WEB). Your mother’s labor in the Lord is not in vain, and we ask that He would grant her wisdom, protection, and a deep sense of His presence as she continues to lead His flock. May He surround her with His peace and grant her many more years of fruitful ministry and joy in her family.

At the same time, we gently remind you that while it is wonderful to celebrate her age, our true hope is not in the length of our days but in the eternal life we have through Jesus Christ. *"So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom"* (Psalm 90:12, WEB). May your mother’s life continue to point others to Christ, who is the source of all wisdom, strength, and salvation.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for the life of this precious mother and pastor. Thank You for her faithfulness, her love for Your Word, and her dedication to serving Your people. Lord, we ask that You would bless her abundantly on this special day. Fill her with Your joy, renew her strength, and let her feel the depth of Your love for her.

We pray that You would continue to use her mightily for Your kingdom, granting her wisdom as she leads, protection as she serves, and a deep sense of Your presence in every moment. May her children and her church rise up and call her blessed, and may her life continue to be a light that points others to You.

Father, we also ask that You would grant her good health, peace of mind, and the assurance that her labor in You is not in vain. Surround her with Your favor as with a shield, and let her days be filled with Your goodness. May she know, beyond any doubt, that You are her strength, her refuge, and her ever-present help.

We lift her up to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, knowing that it is only through Him that we can approach Your throne with confidence. May Your name be glorified in her life, now and always. Amen.

We encourage you to take time today to share with your mother how much she means to you—not just as a pastor, but as a mother who has loved and guided her family in the ways of the Lord. Let her know that her faith and her example have made a lasting impact, and that you are grateful for her life. Most of all, point her to Jesus, who is the author and finisher of her faith. He is the one who sustains her, and in Him, she finds her greatest reward.
