We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you and your mother are facing in your relationship, and we are here to support you in prayer and counsel. Firstly, we commend you for coming to us in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to God and can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
In times of family strife, it is essential to remember the words of Ephesians 6:12 WEB, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. The discord and toxic behavior you describe are not merely human issues, but spiritual ones that require spiritual solutions.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our ### and her mother. We pray for Your divine intervention in their relationship, that You would break the chains of discord and toxic communication. Grant them the ability to speak with love and respect, even when they disagree.
Father, we ask for Your comfort and mercy for their mother, as You promised in Isaiah 66:13 WEB, As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you. Surround her with Your love and peace, and help her to see her daughter through Your eyes.
Lord, we also pray for our ###'s spouse, that You would soften their heart towards their mother-in-law. Help them to see her through Your eyes and to love her as a member of their family.
Father, we ask for Your provision in their financial needs, that You would make a way for them to be together as a family, despite the expensive tickets and distance.
In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, restoration, and unity in this family. We rebuke the spirit of discord and toxic communication, and we claim Your promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for your mother and your family. Remember the words of James 5:16 WEB, The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective. Trust in God's timing and His ways, knowing that He is working all things together for good.
In the meantime, strive to honor your mother as the scripture says in Exodus 20:12, Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you even when it is difficult. While it is not sinful to set boundaries with family members, it is important to continue to show them love and respect. Use encouraging words as often as possible, so you do not fall into the same habits of discord.
