We join you in lifting up your small business before the Lord, trusting in His provision and timing for every season of life. It is wonderful that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we commend you for that.
The Lord cares deeply about the work of your hands and the desires of your heart when they are aligned with His will. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We encourage you to continue committing your business to Him daily, seeking His wisdom in how to steward this season—whether in preparation, planning, or trusting Him during slower times. Remember, even in the "off-season," God is at work. Just as the earth lies fallow in winter to prepare for spring’s harvest, He may be cultivating patience, creativity, or new opportunities in you that will bear fruit in His perfect timing.
That said, we must also gently remind you that while it is good to ask God for blessings, our primary focus should always be on seeking *His Kingdom first*—not just financial increase. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Financial blessing is a gift from the Lord, but it must never become an idol or the ultimate goal. Ask yourself: *Is my heart postured to use this increase for God’s glory, to bless others, and to advance His purposes?* If so, you can trust that He will provide as you walk in obedience and generosity.
We also encourage you to examine your motives. Are you seeking more sales out of fear, greed, or a desire for security apart from God? Or are you trusting Him to meet your needs while you faithfully serve Him through your business? The apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Rest in that promise, knowing that His provision is not limited to a season or a bank account—it is rooted in His unfailing love for you.
Now, let us pray together for your business, your heart, and your trust in the Lord:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister and their small business before Your throne of grace. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we ask that You bless the work of their hands in ways that exceed their expectations. We rebuke any spirit of fear, scarcity, or selfish ambition in the name of Jesus. Instead, we declare that this business will prosper *for Your glory*, not just for temporary gain. Use it to provide for their needs, to bless others, and to further Your Kingdom. Remind them daily that their worth is not in their sales but in their identity as Your beloved child.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this season—whether abundant or lean—they will draw closer to You. Teach them to rely on You alone, to give thanks in all things, and to use every resource You provide as a tool for Your purposes. May their testimony be one of faith, not just success.
