Hello friends and fellow standers. Not long ago, I testified in a blog about The Lord appointing me to be the Noah for my family. And how what happens in my marriage and family not only affects the 7 of us, but my children's children and their children...it is generational. My stand took on extreme importance once I came to this realization.
A few weeks ago, while sitting in my classroom, entering my students grades into the computer, the Holy Spirit swept over me and completely filled me with the Lord' s Mighty Presence. The Lord showed me several things. The first few were very specific and referred to my husband B.J. and his condition, spiritually. Then, the Lord asked me to take a look at my desk. I did and I was truly awestruck and amazed at what I saw....for there sitting on my desk, was my 3 drawer piece that holds my paper clips, push pins and sticky notes and the other was a metal cross. Both of these items have been with me, on my school desk, since 2007, shortly after my husband returned home to us for the first time after an extended stay in the wilderness.
Now, to the ordinary eye why would two pieces that stay on my desk mean anything? Well as you look closely it becomes quite apparent.... The drawers say on them, " The Lord told Noah to build and Ark" and the cross says, " God keeps His Promises" and depicts Noah and the ark!
The Holy Spirit revealed to me during that moment, that my Heavenly Father knew from the beginning of time that I would go through this trial at this particular point in time. And that my purpose in all of this, was to be Noah for my family. It's funny how for no particular reason, I chose to purchase this drawer set in 2007 from the Goodwill. The irony is that I'd never had a particular affinity for Noah and the Ark at any time in my life so why? Because God ordained it...and why the cross? It had been a gift to my son on his First Communion and I had always displayed it on my desk as a sign of hope!
These two signs brought me unspeakable joy and peace! My Heavenly Father confirmed to me that He is sovereign. He is in complete control even though the circumstances seem out of control. And He allowed this all to occur for His greater purpose!
So, He can be trusted! He will bring is through victoriously! And all that He has taken the time to reveal to me, will occur in His Perfect timing!
I hope this encourages someone as much as it did for me.
