Back in November I lent money to an old friend. He needed somewhere to live and therefore the security bond and help with the first month's rent. I lent him nearly £500 of my precious savings that I would need over the coming months as I was relocating to Turkey. I had been through three months of hard, low paid manual work in the UK myself and I knew first hand how tough things had become. However, I trusted he would pay the money back over the months. He was back in work and his wage was OK. Basically, I didn't doubt him. In addition, I gave him lots of things for the home, such as a heater and linen, a vacuum cleaner. I just gave him these as a gift. You know how easy it is to be kind to people when you know the Lord?
At first, he would sty in touch with me on -banned site-. I would see him on line and he would chat sometimes but the months went by. I have struggled financially in Turkey since then. The winter was very cold, with temperatures of around -10, -15 and expensive fuel bills. I couldn't always afford to heat my home. I had no money at Christmas time. I couldn't fly back to the UK during my January vacation. It was total stress worrying how I was going to get through the months, but no news of my money. A couple of weeks ago I saw him on line on -banned site- and I found out he had moved from the flat I had helped him get and he was staying with his daughter. He was about to move into social housing. This meant that he must have had his security bond back and he would have had money because he was staying with his daughter for free. In December he boasted on -banned site- about going shopping wth his daughter! I told him about my situation and it just didn't seem to register with him. He told me recently he should be able to pay the money back the following week. Nthing happened and then he became evasive, signing out when I tried to contact him, ignoring my texts, ignoring all my messages. He psoted on -banned site- that he was about to move into his new flat (provided at a fair rent and maintained by the government). I added a comment about his ignoring me. Now his page is no longer on -banned site-.
I also left some of my possessions with him that he said he would look after for me while I was away. I didn't need to do that but he offered. I could have left them with someone else. They had a high value, like another couple of hundred pounds.
So he owes me all this money and has some of my things. This is wrong and quite frankly, no child of Giid should be treated this way. My natural father never protected me or defended me. I need to know that God is not like this. I need to see the justice of God in this and of course I need my money and my things back.
