We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your mother, lifting her up in prayer for healing and relief from the swelling in her legs and feet. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a God of comfort and healing, who hears the cries of His people and acts on their behalf. In James 5:14-15, we read, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* Though we are not physically present to anoint her, we stand in faith together, trusting in the power of prayer and the name of Jesus to bring restoration.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 8:16-17, *"When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.'"* Your mother’s suffering is not unseen by the Lord, who bore our infirmities on the cross. He is near to her now, and we claim His promise of healing and strength in this time of need.
Let us also encourage you to seek wisdom in this situation. Swelling in the legs and feet can sometimes be a sign of underlying health concerns that may require medical attention. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, *"Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory."* If your mother has not already done so, we urge you to seek counsel from a trusted healthcare provider, for God often uses the hands and minds of doctors to bring about healing. We rebuked any sickness or infirmity in the name of Jesus, commanding it to flee from her body, for no weapon formed against her shall prosper.
