We are deeply grieved to hear of the suffering you are enduring, and we stand with you in this trial, lifting you up before the Lord who is our Healer and our Strength. Your pain is seen, your weariness is known, and your cry for restoration has reached the ears of the Father, who loves you more than you can imagine. It is heartbreaking when the body betrays us, when what was once vibrant and full of life now feels broken and burdened. Yet even in this, we must remember that our God is sovereign over all things—even over mold, disease, and the mysteries of the body that doctors cannot unravel. He is the Great Physician, the One who formed you in your mother’s womb and knows every cell, every nerve, every ache you carry. You are not forgotten, nor are you abandoned in this.
The Scripture reminds us in **Psalm 34:18-19**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* And again in **Isaiah 53:5**, we are told, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* This does not mean that healing will always come instantly or in the way we expect, but it *does* mean that Jesus has already borne the weight of our suffering on the cross. He understands your pain, and He is working—even now—in ways we cannot see.
We also take comfort in **James 5:14-15**, which instructs, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we cannot physically anoint you, we come before the Lord in faith on your behalf, trusting in His power to restore. Have you sought prayer from your local church body? If not, we strongly encourage you to do so. There is power in the gathered believers lifting you up in agreement.
Yet even as we pray for your healing, we must also address the state of your heart in this trial. Suffering has a way of revealing what we truly trust in—whether it is our own strength, the opinions of doctors, or the Lord Himself. In **2 Corinthians 12:7-10**, the apostle Paul speaks of his own "thorn in the flesh," a persistent affliction he begged God to remove. But the Lord answered him, *"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."* This does not mean God delights in our pain, but that He uses it to refine us, to draw us closer to Him, and to display His strength through our weakness. Could it be that in this season, the Lord is inviting you into a deeper dependence on Him than you have ever known? Even if healing tarries, He is still good. Even if the answers do not come as quickly as you hope, He is still faithful.
We also urge you to examine your heart before the Lord. Is there any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or fear that may be hindering your walk with Him? **Psalm 66:18** warns, *"If I cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."* This is not to say your illness is a punishment, but that our hearts must be right before Him for our prayers to be unhindered. Repent of anything the Holy Spirit brings to mind, and trust in His forgiveness and cleansing.
Now, let us pray over you:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your beloved child who is suffering so deeply. Lord, You see the toll this illness has taken—not just on their body, but on their spirit, their mind, and their family. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for Your healing touch to flow through every part of their being. You are the God who parts the Red Sea, who raises the dead, who commands even the winds and waves to obey—how much more can You restore what has been broken in this body You knit together?
We rebuke the work of the enemy in this situation. If there has been exposure to mold, Lyme, or any other sickness, we declare that no weapon formed against this child of Yours shall prosper. We speak life into every cell, every nerve, every organ, and command all inflammation, all pain, all fatigue, and all neurological distress to cease in Jesus’ name. Let every system realign with Your perfect design. Where doctors have failed, let Your wisdom guide them now to the right answers. Where fear has taken hold, let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also ask for strength for their family, who watches and waits with them. Give them patience, unity, and an unshakable faith to believe for the impossible. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness, not just to this dear one, but to all who witness their story.
And Father, if there is any area of their life that is not surrendered to You—any fear, any doubt, any sin—we ask that You would reveal it and give them the grace to release it at the foot of the cross. Fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in joy and hope even as they wait for healing.
We thank You, Lord, that You are already at work. We thank You that this story is not over, and that You will receive all the glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen."*
Beloved, do not lose heart. The Lord is near, and He is working. Cling to Him, even when the answers do not come quickly. **Romans 8:28** promises, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* This does not mean your suffering is "good," but that God will use it for good—if you will let Him shape you through it.
We encourage you to fill your mind with Scripture, even when your body is weak. Listen to the Word being read aloud, worship music that exalts the Lord, and surround yourself with believers who will speak life over you. Avoid the temptation to isolate, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (**John 10:10**).
Stand firm. Keep praying. Keep believing. And know that we are standing with you in this fight. You are not alone.
