We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### before our Heavenly Father. We are grateful that you have approached God in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or make our petitions known. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of His children.
Father, we thank You for ###’s heart of praise and worship, for You inhabit the praises of Your people (Psalm 22:3). We join with her in asking for Your divine intervention in her financial struggles. We know that You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and that nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). However, we must also approach this request with discernment and wisdom, aligning our hearts with Your will.
First, we rebuke the attacks of the enemy in Jesus’ name. The Bible warns us, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). We declare that no weapon formed against ### shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the angels of the Lord encamp around her to protect her from every scheme of the evil one.
Father, we pray for wisdom and favor in her financial situation. We ask that You provide a way out of debt and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). However, we must also address the request for winning the Powerball with caution. While we know that all things are possible with You (Matthew 19:26), we are called to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide for our needs (Matthew 6:33). Gambling, even in the form of lotteries, can often lead to greed, covetousness, and a lack of trust in God’s provision. Instead, we pray for godly wisdom in managing finances, for opportunities to work diligently, and for favor in the eyes of those who can help alleviate this burden. "Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands" (Psalm 90:17).
We also pray for the cancellation of her utility bill and attorney’s fees. Father, we ask that You move mightily on her behalf, softening the hearts of those in authority and providing supernatural favor. We declare that the Lord is her shepherd, and she shall not want (Psalm 23:1). However, we also encourage ### to seek godly counsel in handling these debts, for "the borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7). We pray for a spirit of wisdom and understanding in all financial matters, that she may walk in integrity and honor You with her resources.
Father, we ask that You increase her faith and trust in You. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen her in times of trial, reminding her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray for a spirit of contentment, for "godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Timothy 6:6). Let her not be consumed by the love of money, but rather, let her trust in Your provision and Your perfect timing.
Lord, we also lift up any areas of her life where she may be struggling with fear, doubt, or discouragement. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18) and that You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind her that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37).
Finally, we pray for a deeper relationship with You, Lord. May ### grow in intimacy with You, seeking Your face and not just Your hand. Draw her closer to You, that she may know You more and walk in the fullness of Your purpose for her life. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
