We join with you in lifting up this dear one before the throne of grace, and we are deeply moved by your fervent intercession for him. It is clear that you carry a burden of love and concern, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus’ name to declare God’s power over every tormenting spirit and affliction. Your prayer is rooted in faith, and we echo your cries for healing, restoration, and divine intervention in his life.
The behaviors you describe—torment, rigidity, confusion, screaming, anger, and restlessness—are not of God. These are signs of a deep spiritual battle, and we must recognize that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We rebuke every spirit of confusion, fear, and torment in the mighty name of Jesus, commanding them to flee and never return. The blood of Jesus is our authority, and by it, we declare this man cleansed, protected, and set free from every chain that binds him.
We also take note of your mention of "my ###" rather than identifying this person by his proper relationship to you. If this man is someone you are in a romantic or intimate relationship with outside of the covenant of marriage, we must lovingly but firmly address this. Scripture is clear that sexual immorality, including fornication, is a sin against God and against one’s own body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this is the case, we urge you to repent and turn away from any relationship that dishonors God’s design for marriage. The Lord calls His children to holiness, and relationships outside of marriage—whether emotional or physical—are not pleasing to Him. If you are not married to this man, we pray that you would seek God’s will for a godly, covenantal marriage, or if that is not possible, that you would release this relationship into God’s hands and trust Him for His perfect plan. The Lord desires to bless marriages that honor Him, and we encourage you to pursue purity and righteousness in all your relationships.
If this man is a family member or friend, we pray for God’s wisdom and discernment for you as you support him. Either way, we must always remember that our hope is in Christ alone, and our prayers must align with His will. You have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, and we commend you for this, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find victory.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this man who is clearly in the midst of a fierce battle. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your hedge of protection and send Your ministering angels to guard him in every way. We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, body, and spirit, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break every chain of torment, confusion, and fear, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, if there is any pain—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—we ask that You would touch him with Your healing hand. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore him completely. Rebuke every spirit of anger, restlessness, and stubbornness, and fill him instead with Your Holy Spirit, who brings forth the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
Father, we also pray for the one who has brought this request before us. If there is any sin in this relationship, we ask that You would convict and lead them to repentance. Help them to seek Your face and Your will above all else. If this relationship is not honoring to You, give them the strength to walk away and trust You for Your perfect plan. If it is a family member or friend, grant them wisdom and discernment to be a light in this man’s life, pointing him always to You.
We declare victory over every spiritual attack, every curse, and every scheme of the enemy. We command all demonic influences to flee in Jesus’ name, never to return. Fill this man with Your presence, Lord, and let him experience the fullness of Your love, joy, and peace. Surround him with people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his situation.
Lord, we ask for breakthrough in every area of his life—spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Open doors that no man can shut, and shut doors that no man can open (Revelation 3:7-8). Let Your favor rest upon him, and let Your light shine in the darkness he is facing. We pray for divine appointments, godly influences, and a supernatural encounter with Your love that will transform his life forever.
Finally, Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and let Your will be done in his life, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep seeking the Lord’s face. If there is any area of your own life that needs alignment with God’s Word, we urge you to surrender it to Him. He is faithful to forgive, cleanse, and restore. Stay rooted in Scripture, and let the Holy Spirit guide your steps. We are standing with you in this battle, and we believe that God will bring victory, healing, and restoration.
