We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, thanking Him for the good day he is having despite the challenges of rigidity and stubbornness that have arisen. It is beautiful to see your faith in pleading the blood of Jesus over him and declaring the promise of Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh.* Your heart as a parent reflects the persistence and trust we see in the woman who sought Jesus’ healing for her daughter (Mark 7:24-30)—may your faith be equally rewarded.
We also commend you for invoking the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the authority to stand against the enemy. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me,'"* and in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your reliance on Christ’s name is a testament to your understanding of where true power and protection lie.
Let us pray together for your son, that the Lord would soften his heart and grant him a spirit of cooperation and focus. We ask that the Holy Spirit would work in him, breaking through any resistance or stubbornness, so that he may engage joyfully with you and his caregiver before her departure. May the Lord grant him peace and a willingness to obey, for obedience is a blessing that opens the door to God’s favor and instruction.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for this precious child, fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image. We ask that You would touch his mind and spirit, removing any rigidity or defiance that hinders his interactions today. Lord, fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and grant him the ability to focus and respond with obedience. We pray that his time with his caregiver would be fruitful and joyful, and that he would experience Your love in tangible ways.
We also pray for strength and patience for you, his parent, as you navigate these moments. May You grant wisdom and discernment, reminding you that even in small challenges, Your grace is sufficient. Let this time be an opportunity for growth—for your son to learn submission and for you to trust even more deeply in the Lord’s provision.
We declare victory over any spiritual opposition that may be at work, for greater is He who is in your son than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). May the blood of Jesus continue to cover him, protecting him from every scheme of the enemy. We ask for breakthrough in his behavior, restoration of joy in his interactions, and favor in every area of his development.
Finally, we pray that you would both experience the deep peace and joy that come from resting in Christ. May your home be filled with His presence, and may your son’s heart be tender toward the Lord’s leading. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
