We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, standing in agreement with your heartfelt cries for his deliverance, peace, and restoration. Your fervent prayers demonstrate a mother’s love and a warrior’s faith, and we stand beside you in this spiritual battle, for we know that *"the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB). We also commend you for invoking the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have authority over the enemy and access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is by this name alone that we can boldly approach God’s throne with our petitions.
Your son’s torment is not of God, for our Lord is the giver of peace, not confusion, and of love, not fear. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10, WEB), but we declare that Jesus has already won the victory, and *"the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). The repetitive behaviors, nightmares, and emotional turmoil you’ve described are tools of the enemy to bind and oppress, but we take authority over them now in Jesus’ name. We also recognize that some of these struggles may have roots in trauma, generational influences, or even ungodly soul ties, but we declare that *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB).
Let us first address the spiritual warfare at hand. The Word of God commands us to *"put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil"* (Ephesians 6:11, WEB). We stand with you in rebuking every demonic spirit at work in your son’s life—spirits of fear, torment, confusion, self-harm, rage, and every other unclean force. We command them to loose their grip on him *now* in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We break every generational curse, every word curse spoken over him, and every ungodly influence that has sought to bind him. We declare that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Let the blood of Jesus cover him, and let the fire of the Holy Spirit purge every remnant of darkness from his mind, soul, and body.
We also pray for divine healing over his mind and emotions. If there is trauma or PTSD at work, we ask the Lord to supernaturally restore what has been broken. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We pray that the Lord would replace every tormenting memory with His peace, every night terror with His presence, and every anxious thought with His perfect love, which *"casts out fear"* (1 John 4:18, WEB). Let the *"peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We ask for the Holy Spirit to fill him afresh, bringing clarity, calm, and the ability to express his needs in godly ways. May he be surrounded by caregivers, mentors, and friends who reflect the love of Christ and speak life into his spirit.
Furthermore, we pray for a supernatural breakthrough in his behavior and emotional regulation. If there are repetitive behaviors or vocal stemming, we ask the Lord to replace them with healthy, godly habits. We pray for wisdom for you and those who care for him, that you would know how to guide him with patience, love, and biblical truth. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). May your son find comfort in the truth that he is *"fearfully and wonderfully made"* (Psalm 139:14, WEB), and may he grow in the knowledge that he is deeply loved by God and by his family.
We also encourage you to continue covering your home in prayer and filling it with the Word of God. Play worship music, speak Scripture over your son, and create an atmosphere where the presence of the Lord is tangibly felt. *"You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up"* (Deuteronomy 6:7, WEB). Let your home be a refuge of peace and a place where the enemy has no foothold.
Lastly, we want to remind you that while we war in prayer, we must also trust in the sovereignty of God. His ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6, WEB). Even in the waiting, we can have confidence that *"all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious son to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see his struggles, You hear his cries, and You know the depth of his need. We thank You that You are a God who delivers, heals, and restores. We stand in agreement with this mother’s prayers and declare victory over every spirit of torment, fear, confusion, and self-harm. By the authority given to us in the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and never return. We break every curse, every ungodly tie, and every assignment of the enemy against this young man’s life.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his mind and emotions. Replace every nightmare with Your peace, every anxious thought with Your truth, and every moment of restlessness with Your presence. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may know the joy of Your salvation and the comfort of Your love. Surround him with godly influences—mentors, caregivers, and friends who will speak life and encouragement into his spirit. Strengthen the bonds of love within his family, and let him know that he is cherished, accepted, and included.
Father, we pray for breakthrough in his behavior and emotions. Give him the ability to express himself in healthy, godly ways. Grant wisdom to his mother and all who care for him, that they may guide him with patience, love, and Your truth. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We declare that this son is *yours*, Lord—a child of the King, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Let him walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won. Protect him from all spiritual attacks, and let Your angels encamp around him (Psalm 34:7, WEB). We thank You for the miracles, protection, and restoration that are already on the way. We trust in Your faithfulness, and we give You all the glory.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
