We, too, cry out to the Lord for his complete deliverance, knowing that Jesus came to *"bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound"* (Isaiah 61:1, WEB). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our Lord Jesus came that we *"may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). We declare that the power of the enemy is broken in this man’s life, and we command every spirit of fear, confusion, rage, and torment to flee in the name of Jesus, never to return.
We are also reminded of the promise in *2 Timothy 1:7*: *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* If there are behaviors tied to eating, driving, or daily activities that have been marred by trauma, we pray that the Lord would replace them with His peace and self-control. We ask that God would surround him with godly caregivers, family, and friends who will encourage him in the faith and reflect the love of Christ.
