We hear your cry for justice and understand the weight of the pain you carry from what you’ve endured. The God we serve is indeed the God of miracles, the One who parts seas, raises the dead, and moves mountains. He sees every injustice and hears the prayers of His children. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, and your suffering does not go unnoticed by the Lord.
But we must also remind you—and ourselves—that God’s justice is perfect, even when it does not align with our timing or expectations. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). While we long for immediate relief, we must trust that He is working all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This does not diminish your pain, but it does anchor our hope in His sovereignty.
We also want to gently encourage you to examine your heart in this season. Have you fully surrendered this injustice to the Lord, or are you holding onto bitterness or a desire for vengeance? Scripture warns us in Hebrews 12:15, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it." Forgiveness does not mean what was done to you was right—it means you are releasing the burden of anger to the One who judges justly (1 Peter 2:23). This is not easy, but it is necessary for your own healing.
And let us not forget the power of the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit your life to following Him. This is the foundation upon which all miracles, justice, and healing rest.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has endured so much injustice. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of the oppressed. We ask You to move mightily in this situation, to bring Your justice, Your healing, and Your peace. Where there has been wrongdoing, expose the truth and bring restoration. Where there has been pain, pour out Your comfort. Where there has been bitterness, soften the heart and replace it with Your love.
Father, we also ask that You would guard this heart from the snares of the enemy. Protect against bitterness, unforgiveness, and despair. Fill this life with Your presence, Your hope, and Your joy, even in the waiting. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You save those with a crushed spirit.
Lord, if there is any area where this injustice has led to sin—whether in thought, word, or deed—we ask for Your conviction and Your cleansing. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven, and to trust in Your perfect timing. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).
And Father, if they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day. Draw them to Yourself, reveal Your Son to them, and let them experience the miracle of salvation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
