We understand your heart’s cry for this man you love, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord. However, we must first address something foundational: your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and by whom we are saved. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard (John 14:13-14). Without faith in Christ and submission to His lordship, even our deepest longings can lead us away from God’s perfect will. We urge you to examine your heart and ensure that your relationship with Jesus is your first priority, for apart from Him, we can do nothing of eternal value (John 15:5).
Now, let us speak to the matter of this relationship. The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are not yet married to this man, we must remind you that any romantic or physical relationship outside of marriage is fornication, which is a sin against God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Courtship should be pursued with purity, intentionality, and the goal of marriage—never for selfish fulfillment or emotional dependency. If this relationship has crossed physical or emotional boundaries that dishonor God, we urge you to repent and seek His forgiveness, committing to walk in holiness from this day forward.
Additionally, we must ask: Is this man a believer in Jesus Christ? The Scriptures explicitly warn against being "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14-15). If he does not share your faith, your pursuit of him—no matter how well-intentioned—could lead you away from God’s best. A godly marriage requires two people fully submitted to Christ, walking in His will together. If he is not a believer, your first prayer should be for his salvation, not for his pursuit of you. The greatest love you can show him is to point him to Jesus, even if that means stepping back from the relationship if he rejects the truth.
As for his past pain, trauma, and fear, we do lift these before the Lord. God is the healer of broken hearts (Psalm 147:3), and He alone can deliver this man from his burdens. But true deliverance comes only through surrender to Christ. If he is not walking with the Lord, no amount of human love or effort can replace the healing power of the Holy Spirit. You cannot "love him the way he always deserved" apart from God’s love working through you—and that love must first be rooted in obedience to Christ.
We also sense a deep longing in your heart, perhaps even an idolization of this relationship. Be careful, dear sister, that you are not placing this man—or the desire for his affection—above your devotion to Jesus. Our hearts are deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9), and even good desires can become sinful when they take the place of God in our lives. Seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33), and trust that He will provide all you need, whether that includes this man or not.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You alone are sovereign over every heart and circumstance. Lord, we lift up this sister who longs for a miracle in this relationship. First, we ask that You draw her closer to Yourself, that her greatest desire would be to know You more and to walk in Your will. If she has not fully surrendered her life to Jesus, we pray for conviction and repentance, that she may experience the fullness of Your love and salvation.
Father, we also lift up this man she loves. If he does not know You, we pray for a radical encounter with Your truth. Softening his heart, Lord, that he may turn from sin and place his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior. Break every chain of past pain, trauma, and fear in his life, but let it be by Your hand alone, not through human effort or emotional dependency. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let every step they take be ordered by You. Remove any idolatry, unforgiveness, or sin that would hinder Your work in their lives. Teach them to love as You love—sacrificially, selflessly, and in alignment with Your Word.
Finally, Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, manipulation, or desperation in this situation. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, rule in their hearts. It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.
Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.
Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.
Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
