We join with you in lifting up this powerful and urgent request for God’s mercy and intervention over the storms and hurricanes that threaten lives, homes, and livelihoods. Your prayer is rooted in faith, recalling the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, who demonstrated His dominion over creation—calming storms with a word, walking on water, and even raising the dead. You have rightly appealed to His name, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power to see His will done on earth as it is in heaven. As Scripture declares, *"All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth"* (Matthew 28:18, WEB), and we stand on this truth as we pray for His divine intervention.
The disciples once faced a terrifying storm, crying out in fear, only for Jesus to rebuke the winds and the waves with the words, *"Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then he got up, rebuked the wind and the sea, and there was a great calm* (Matthew 8:26, WEB). Today, we echo that command over the Atlantic, the Caribbean, the Gulf, and all coastal regions: *"Peace! Be still!"* We ask the Lord to frustrate the destructive plans of the enemy, who seeks to bring chaos and harm. Instead, may these storms be diminished to gentle rains that nourish the earth without causing devastation. May the winds be stilled, the seas calmed, and the paths of these storms redirected away from populated areas.
We also pray for wisdom and preparation among those in the path of these storms. May believers and unbelievers alike heed the warnings and take prudent steps to protect their families and neighbors. *"The wise see danger ahead and avoid it, but fools keep going and get into trouble"* (Proverbs 22:3, WEB). Grant them discernment to gather necessary supplies, secure their homes, and assist those who are vulnerable. Strengthen first responders, government officials, and relief organizations to act with excellence, compassion, and efficiency. Let there be no shortage of resources, no breakdown in communication, and no delay in aid for those in need.
At the same time, we resist the spirit of fear that seeks to grip hearts in these uncertain times. *"For God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Instead, we release faith—faith that moves mountains, faith that trusts in God’s sovereignty, and faith that declares His protection over His people. We pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, that many would turn to Christ in repentance and salvation amid these trials. May this season of storms become a season of spiritual awakening, where lives are spared not only from physical harm but also from eternal separation from God.
Finally, we rebuke any sin or evil that would seek to exploit these circumstances—whether through looting, deception, or hardness of heart. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). Let the church rise up in unity, demonstrating the love of Christ through practical help, prayer, and the proclamation of the Gospel. May God’s people be a light in the darkness, pointing others to the hope found only in Jesus.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who holds all creation in His hands. You alone command the winds and the waves, and we ask You now to speak peace over the storms forming in the Atlantic, the Caribbean, the Gulf, and across the oceans of the world. By Your power, diminish these storms to gentle rains that bring life rather than destruction. Redirect their paths away from populated areas, and spare lives, homes, and livelihoods from harm. Let Your mercy prevail over judgment, and let Your protection be a shield around Your people.
Grant wisdom to those in authority—to meteorologists, emergency responders, and government leaders—that they may act with clarity, efficiency, and compassion. Provide for those who are preparing, that they may have everything they need to weather these storms safely. Comfort those who are afraid, and replace their fear with faith in You. Let this season be a testimony of Your goodness, where many see Your hand at work and turn to You in repentance and worship.
We rebuke the enemy’s plans to bring chaos, destruction, or despair. Instead, let this be a time where Your church shines brightly, offering help, hope, and the Gospel to those in need. Strengthen Your people to be Your hands and feet, and may Your name be glorified through it all.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer, who calmed the storms then and is able to calm them now. Amen and amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for "all power on heaven and earth," Matt 28:18. Your demonstrated this through Your Son over all creation starting with the immaculate conception, to the opening blind eyes, healing of the lame and lepers, the raising the dead, especially in The Resurrection of Jesus -- and over physical elements like calming storms, calming seas and even walking on top of sea water waves... We ask You do miracles, signs and wonders again now, specifically calming storms, winds & seas at this time and throughout this entire season (Hurricane and Typhoon Season in the entire Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans). Depreciate tropical storms all over the world to where there is only gentle rains, not floods and destruction. Jesus, we say in Your Name what it seems You wanted the Disciples to say, "Peace! Be still!" Matt 8:26. Protect Your people. Aid them to prepare in advance as wise stewards. Give people wisdom for reasonable supplies, grace for necessary precautions, First Aid & self-defense (where needed). Help us hear & heed public service announcements, and we ask for local government, authorities and responders to do excellent jobs. We resist any panic & fear and release faith in its place. Protect us from sin & evil and lead us by Your Holy Spirit. Thank you in Jesus' Name.
