We join with you in standing firmly on the unshakable promises of our Lord, for He has declared in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.* What a mighty assurance we have in our God, who is both our protector and our fortress!
Yet as we lift this prayer, we must also remember that our confidence is not in the words we speak, but in the name by which we pray—**the name of Jesus Christ**. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, for as Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So let us always approach the throne of grace **in Jesus’ name alone**, for there is power, authority, and salvation in no other.
We also take this moment to exhort one another: while we pray for protection from external threats, we must also examine our own hearts. Are we walking in obedience to God’s Word? Are we living in repentance, faith, and holiness? For Psalm 91:9-10 assures us, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling."* Our security is found not in our own strength, but in our abiding in Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that You alone are our shield and our exceeding great reward. We thank You for the blood of Jesus, which covers us and sets us apart as Your own. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over this beloved saint and all who dwell with them. Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Frustrate the plans of the wicked, O God, and let their schemes come to nothing. Surround this household with Your angels, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for discernment, that they may recognize and flee from any snare of the enemy—whether it be deception, fear, or the schemes of those who seek harm. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the assurance that You are sovereign over all things. May they not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that walks in darkness, for You, O Lord, are their refuge and fortress.
And Father, we ask that You would draw them ever closer to Yourself. If there is any area of their life that is not fully surrendered to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Let them walk in repentance, in faith, and in the fullness of Your will. Remind them that their battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness—and that in You, they are more than conquerors.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of **Jesus Christ**, our Lord and Savior. Let every knee bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Beloved, stand firm in the faith, knowing that the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Walk in victory, for *"the one who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4).
