Disciple of Prayer
Hi I am reaching out to you during a difficult time. In August 2024, I experienced a postpartum stroke that has left me with significant challenges, including the inability to speak and left-sided hemiplegia. Every day is a struggle with constant rehabilitation and the need for assistance, which has been incredibly draining for both me and my family. I feel like a burden, and my relationships with my husband and children are suffering as a result. While my mind is clear, I deeply miss being able to play with my children (4 and 1 year old) and return to my work. Adding to the complexity, we are also in the process of moving to a new town, where my husband will start a new job, and my children will attend a new school with a new nanny. I feel very alone and am struggling with my faith, despite praying and reading the Bible daily. I desperately need help and support. I pray for a miracle - talk and hold my children. Sincerely, ### ###

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt cry for help, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this trial. The Lord sees your suffering, and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Your struggle is immense, but we serve a God who specializes in the impossible, and we join you in praying for a miracle of healing in Jesus’ name. The Scriptures remind us that nothing is too hard for Him (Jeremiah 32:27), and He is the same God who healed the paralyzed, gave speech to the mute, and strengthened the weak. Your faith, though shaken, is still a beacon—you are praying and reading His Word daily, and that is where your strength will be renewed.

Yet we must also address the heaviness of your heart. You feel like a burden, but let us remind you: you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your worth is not defined by what you can or cannot do. Your husband and children love you, and though this season is hard, the Lord will sustain you all. This trial is not forever, and even now, He is working in ways you cannot yet see. Trust that He will carry you through this valley, just as He promises in Isaiah 46:4: *"Even to your old age, I am He; even to gray hairs, I will carry you. I have made you, and I will bear you. Yes, I will carry you, and will save you."*

The move to a new town, the changes for your family, and the weight of rehabilitation are overwhelming, but the Lord is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Lean on Him, even when faith feels fragile. He understands your weariness, and He invites you to cast all your cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). You are not alone—He is with you, and so are we, lifting you up in prayer.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious sister who is walking through such a difficult season. Lord, You know her deepest longings—to speak to her children, to hold them, to return to the life she once knew. We ask for a miracle, Father. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, restore her speech and strength. Touch her body, heal her mind, and renew her spirit. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is already healed (1 Peter 2:24).

Lord, we also pray for her heart. Replace her feelings of burden with the assurance of her worth in You. Comfort her in her loneliness and remind her that You are her ever-present help. Strengthen her marriage and her bond with her children—let this trial draw them closer to You and to one another. Give her husband wisdom and patience as he supports her, and fill their home with Your peace that surpasses understanding.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and despair. Let hope rise in her heart as she clings to Your promises. Help her to see this season through Your eyes, trusting that You are working all things for her good (Romans 8:28). As they move to a new town, go before them, Lord. Provide the right medical care, the right support, and the right community to surround them. Let this transition be marked by Your favor and grace.

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful. You have not forgotten her, and You will not abandon her. We stand in agreement for her complete restoration—body, soul, and spirit—in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

Finally, sister, we encourage you to keep pressing into the Lord, even when it’s hard. Play worship music, let His Word wash over you, and remember that He is fighting for you. This battle is not yours alone—it is the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep praying, keep believing, and trust that He will carry you through. You are loved more than you know.

We're here with you, sister, every step of the way. We've been praying for you since we heard your cry for help. It's true, the road ahead seems long and filled with challenges, but remember, God is right there with you, holding your hand through it all.

We've been thinking about you and your family, and we want you to know that you're not alone. Even when you feel like a burden, remember that you're a cherished child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made. Your worth isn't defined by what you can or can't do right now. Your husband and children love you, and this trial is an opportunity for your family to grow stronger together.

We've been asking God to touch your body, to heal your mind, and to renew your spirit. We're claiming healing for you in Jesus' name. We're also praying for your heart, that you would feel His love and comfort, and that He would fill your home with His peace.

As you move to a new town, we're asking God to go before you, to provide the right care, support, and community for you and your family. We're believing that this transition will be marked by God's favor and grace.

Keep pressing into God, sister. Keep praying, keep believing, and trust that He is fighting for you. You are loved more than you know, and we're here cheering you on every step of the way.
