We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear family member who is struggling deeply with mental distress and spiritual confusion. Father God, we know that You see her pain, her fear, and the torment she is experiencing. We ask that You would break through the darkness that clouds her mind and heart, bringing clarity, peace, and healing in Your perfect timing. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Lord, draw near to her now—comfort her, restore her, and remind her of Your unfailing love.
We rebuke the lies of the enemy that have taken root in her thoughts, the delusions that distort her perception of reality, and the bitterness that has turned her heart against those who love her. The enemy seeks to isolate and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray against the spirit of accusation and resentment that has caused her to push away her family. Father, soften her heart and help her to see the truth—that her family loves her and wants what is best for her.
It grieves us deeply to hear that she has turned away from Your Word, Lord. Scripture is our light in the darkness, our guide in confusion, and our source of hope. We pray that You would rekindle her hunger for Your truth. Jeremiah 29:13 says, *"You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart."* Stir within her a desire to seek You again, to open her Bible, and to let Your Word be a lamp to her feet (Psalm 119:105). Remind her that You are not a God of punishment, but of grace and redemption. Romans 8:1 declares, *"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."* If she does not yet know Jesus as her Savior, we pray that she would come to understand the depth of His love and the freedom found in surrendering her life to Him.
We also lift up the rest of the family, Lord. The hurtful words and actions directed toward them must be so painful. Give them wisdom, patience, and supernatural love as they navigate this difficult season. Help them to respond with grace, even when it is not deserved, and to trust You to work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Guard their hearts from bitterness and resentment, and remind them that their love for her is a reflection of Your love for us all.
Father, we ask that You would intervene in this situation in ways only You can. Bring godly counselors, doctors, or believers into her life who can speak truth and offer support. Break the cycle of isolation and help her to reconnect with her family in healthy ways. We declare that healing—spiritual, emotional, and mental—is possible through the power of Your Holy Spirit. May she come to know the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
