We lift up this precious soul before the Father, knowing that His heart is tender toward those who are broken and weary. The struggles with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and paranoia are heavy burdens, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). His Word declares that He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand in agreement that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Yet we must also address something vital: the name of Jesus was not invoked in this request. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we have boldness and access to the throne of grace (Ephesians 3:12, Hebrews 4:16). Without faith in Jesus, there is no true deliverance or lasting peace. If there is any uncertainty about salvation, we urge you to turn to Him now—confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He alone breaks the chains of bondage and sets the captive free (Luke 4:18).
For those who are in Christ, we remind you that you are not your own; you were bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Anxiety and fear are not from God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). If there is any unconfessed sin, any bitterness, or any opening for the enemy to torment the mind, we urge repentance and surrender to the Lordship of Christ. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11:30)—cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We also encourage seeking godly counsel, whether through a pastor, biblical counselor, or mature believers who can walk alongside you in this season. Isolation often deepens the grip of mental distress, but fellowship and the Body of Christ are vital for healing (Hebrews 10:24-25). If medication or professional help is needed, seek wisdom from the Lord in these decisions, for He gives wisdom generously to those who ask (James 1:5).
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved one who longs for wholeness and freedom. Lord, You see the depths of their pain—the anxiety that grips them, the depression that weighs them down, the trauma that haunts them, and the paranoia that distorts their peace. We ask that You, the God of all comfort, would wrap them in Your arms and remind them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Break the power of every lie the enemy has whispered over their mind. Replace fear with faith, despair with hope, and confusion with the clarity of Your truth.
We rebuke the spirits of anxiety, depression, and torment in the name of Jesus, commanding them to flee and never return. Holy Spirit, fill every empty place with Your presence. Renew their mind, Lord, and transform them by the washing of the water of Your Word (Ephesians 5:26, Romans 12:2). Let them meditate on whatever is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8), and may Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, if there is any unconfessed sin, any bitterness, or any stronghold that has given the enemy a foothold, we ask that You would reveal it and grant the strength to repent and turn away. Restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and bring beauty from these ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Surround them with Your angels, with godly community, and with Your supernatural strength to endure.
We declare that this beloved one is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). No weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and the joy of the Lord shall be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). May they wake each day with a song of praise on their lips and the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray—amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for complete deliverance and restoration. Hold fast to Jesus, for He is your hope and your healer. You are not forgotten; you are deeply loved.
