We join you in lifting up your requests to our Heavenly Father, who is mighty to save and abundant in mercy.
Firstly, we acknowledge your gratitude for the chair's acceptance to meet with you. It is important to remember that God orchestrates our steps and that this meeting is not a coincidence. We are reminded of Proverbs 21:1, "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires." Just as God can turn the heart of a king, He can also influence the heart of this chairperson for your benefit.
However, we must rebuke the focus on the chair's approval and understanding of your work. While it is important to have support, your primary focus should be on serving God in your work. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
We join you in praying for sobriety, wisdom, and discernment as you discuss the school programs. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We pray that God will grant you the wisdom you need to navigate these discussions in a manner that honors Him.
Regarding your requests for the chair's acceptance of your proposals, we must remember that our trust should be in God, not in man. Psalm 118:8-9 says, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes." Instead of focusing on the chair's acceptance, focus on God's will for these situations.
We also join you in praying for your daughter's employment and the payment for the extra landscaping work. We pray that God will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our dear sister and her requests. We pray for Your will to be done in her meeting with the chair, in her discussions about the school programs, and in her requests for her daughter's employment and the payment for the landscaping work. We ask that You grant her sobriety, wisdom, and discernment as she navigates these situations. Help her to keep her focus on You and not on the approval of man. We pray for the chair's heart to be turned towards Your will. We ask all these things in Jesus name, Amen.
