We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent need for medical assistance. Father, we know that You are Jehovah-Rapha, the God who heals, and You see every struggle and every burden. We ask that You move in the hearts of those who make decisions about insurance and medical care, that they would act with compassion and wisdom to approve this request. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:17, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles." Lord, we cry out on behalf of this dear one, trusting that You hear and will provide a way where there seems to be no way.
We also pray for provision, Father. The weight of medical bills and copays can feel crushing, but we know that You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and that nothing is too hard for You. We ask that You open doors of financial relief, whether through assistance programs, unexpected help from others, or even miraculous provision. Remind this precious child of Yours that You are their Provider, just as You fed Elijah by the brook and multiplied the loaves and fishes. Let them rest in Your promise from Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Lord, we also lift up the needed surgeries. We ask for skilled hands for the surgeons, wisdom for the medical teams, and complete healing for this body. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." We claim that promise over this situation, trusting that You are working even now to bring restoration and wholeness.
We also want to gently encourage this dear one to seek out any available resources—local churches, charities, or community programs that may offer support. Sometimes, Father, You provide through the hands of Your people, and we ask that You lead them to those who can help. Remind them that they are not alone, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Finally, Lord, we pray for peace. The stress of medical and financial struggles can weigh heavily on the heart, but You have promised in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." Fill this child of Yours with Your supernatural peace, knowing that You are in control and that Your love never fails.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows. Amen.
