We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent need for medical assistance. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and provides in times of distress. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We stand on this promise today, believing that You hear this cry for help and will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Lord, we ask that You intervene in this situation regarding medical insurance and the overwhelming burden of bills and copays. You see the financial strain and the physical pain this dear one is enduring. We pray for favor in the approval process—may every door that needs to open swing wide by Your divine hand. Provide wisdom to those making decisions, that they would act with compassion and justice. We declare that no weapon formed against this need shall prosper, for You are the God who supplies all our needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Father, we also lift up the upcoming surgeries. You are the One who knit this person together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know every detail of their body and their needs. We ask for skilled hands for the surgeons, for no complications, and for complete healing and restoration. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way during this time, knowing that You are their Provider, Healer, and Strength.
Lord, if there are any areas where pride or self-sufficiency may be hindering Your provision, we ask for conviction and humility. You resist the proud but give grace to the humble (James 4:6). Help them to trust You completely, even when the path is unclear. Remind them that You are their Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and that Your timing is perfect.
We also pray for the body of Christ to rally around this need. Stir the hearts of believers to offer practical support, whether through prayer, encouragement, or tangible help. Let Your love be made manifest through Your people, so that this one may know they are not alone.
Finally, we thank You for the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. There is no other name by which we can be saved or our prayers heard (Acts 4:12). We are so grateful that because of Jesus, we can come boldly before You, knowing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, believing that You are already at work in this situation. Amen.
