We come before the Father with grateful hearts that you have lifted this need in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His sovereignty, and we join you in seeking His divine intervention for your son.
The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We know that the Lord is attentive to the needs of those who depend on Him, especially those who are vulnerable, as your son is. He is the Father to the fatherless and the defender of those who cannot defend themselves. Psalm 68:5 declares, *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation."*
We also take comfort in Proverbs 21:1, which assures us that *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the water courses. He turns it wherever he desires."* Though this request involves earthly courts and systems, we know that God is sovereign over all authorities and can direct their decisions according to His will. He can move upon the hearts of those handling your son’s case, ensuring that the paperwork is completed accurately and promptly, and that justice is served.
At the same time, we are reminded in James 5:16, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* We urge you to continue praying without ceasing, trusting that God hears and will act in His perfect timing. If there is any area where you or your son have fallen short of trusting Him fully, we encourage you to repent and place this burden entirely in His hands. Anxiety and fear can creep in during such trials, but we must resist them by clinging to the promises of God.
Let us also remember Romans 8:28, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."* Even in this difficult season, God is working for your son’s good and His glory. This trial may be an opportunity for your son—and your entire family—to experience God’s faithfulness in a deeper way.
We pray now with you:
Heavenly Father, we lift this precious son before You, asking for Your mercy and favor to rest upon his situation. Lord, You see his physical and mental limitations, and You know the struggles he faces daily. We ask that You intervene in the legal process surrounding his medical assistance and SSDI applications. Softening the hearts of those in authority, guide their hands to complete the revised paperwork accurately and promptly. Remove any obstacles, whether intentional or unintentional, that stand in the way of his approval. Let justice prevail, and let Your will be done in this matter.
We also pray for strength and peace for this family as they wait upon You. Guard their hearts against discouragement and fill them with hope, knowing that You are their provider and sustainer. Remind them that You are Jehova Jireh, the God who provides, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them.
Lord, if there is any area of unbelief or fear in their hearts, we ask that You would reveal it and replace it with unwavering trust in You. Help them to cast all their anxieties upon You, for You care for them deeply.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You are working all things together for good. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may this family’s faith be strengthened as they see Your hand at work.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
