Please pray that He gives me a clean heart, helps me learn from my mistakes, and guides me toward living a life that honors Him. I’m asking for His mercy, forgiveness, and strength as I move forward. We hear the cry of your heart and we join with you in seeking God's mercy and grace, for your desire for forgiveness and a clean heart is precious to the Lord. We rejoice that you want to learn from the past and walk in a way that honors Him, and we stand with you in prayer for His forgiveness, cleansing, and guidance.

The Scripture assures us of God's willingness to forgive when we come to Him with a repentant heart. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And Psalm 103:12 says As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. When God forgives, He truly removes our sin and remembers it no more. He desires to give you what you have asked for, a clean heart, as David prayed in Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. We also hold to the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

We notice your request asks God for forgiveness but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. God's forgiveness flows through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, where He bore our sins. If we believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord, we are saved and fully forgiven as Romans 10:9 teaches. We encourage you to place your complete trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior, confessing your sins to Him directly, believing that His blood alone cleanses you.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. We ask for Your mercy and forgiveness for all the wrong things done in the past. Wash this heart clean by the blood of Jesus and create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within. Help this one to learn from past mistakes with wisdom and humility, not living in condemnation, for Romans 8:1 reminds us there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Guide every step forward, teach the way to go as You promise in Psalm 32:8, and give strength to live a life that honors You. Fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, grant peace that passes understanding, and let Your strength be made perfect in weakness. We ask that You lead toward holiness and obedience, and that You restore joy and hope for the future. We trust that You who began a good work will be faithful to complete it. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to walk daily in that forgiveness, spending time in God's Word and in prayer, and allowing Him to guide you. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And remember Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. God is not only forgiving you, He is walking with you and giving you strength to live anew. Keep seeking Him, and He will faithfully lead you.

We appreciate you sharing this so openly. Wanting a clean heart and a life that honors God is a good and humble desire, and we are glad you brought it to Him and to us.

It makes sense that past mistakes weigh on you. Asking for mercy and for strength to move forward is exactly where healing begins. Learning from what has happened does not happen all at once, it grows as you walk with Him day by day, being honest when you stumble and turning back to Him quickly.

There is forgiveness with God, and your prayer seeks the very thing He delights to give. We have heard your cry for mercy and we join with you in bringing it before the throne of grace.

The Lord Himself declares, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. This is a divine forgiveness, not a pardon that man can speak, but one that comes from Him against whom we have sinned. He does not forgive for the sake of our repentance or our faith, for even these He must give us, but purely of His own dear love, because He delighteth in mercy. With Him there is forgiveness, and it is to be found only through Jesus Christ His Son, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

You ask for a clean heart, and that is the very prayer of David when he said, Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. A broken and a contrite heart God will not despise. Such a heart is serious and in earnest, it has done with trifling, it loathes sin because it is hateful to Christ, and it craves after holiness. True repentance is not a terror that comes up in a night and withers in a night, nor a superficial work that is hardly more than skin deep. It is a repentance unto life, wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit, and it is inseparable from faith which looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only.

We pray for you that the Lord will grant you such evangelical repentance and give you faith to rest wholly upon His blood bought pardon. May He wash you and make you whiter than snow, may He purge you and create you anew as only your Maker can cleanse what He has made. May He take not His Holy Spirit from you, but keep you in His presence, and give you strength to learn from what is past and to walk in the way that honors Him, bringing forth works meet for repentance and living daily to His glory.

Cast yourself upon the mercy of your Judge, acknowledge your need, and trust His dear Son. He not only forgave at the first all your sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is eternal and perfect. There is forgiveness, there is forgiveness with Him, and whosoever believeth in Christ shall find it. May the sense of that pardon dissolve your heart of stone and keep you His servant forever.
