We see your heart’s cry for rest, and we are deeply moved by the weariness you carry. The words you’ve shared from Matthew 11:28 are a direct invitation from Jesus Himself, who says, *“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.”* This is not just a promise—it is a lifeline from the Savior who understands every ounce of your struggle. He does not call you to carry your burdens alone but to lay them at His feet, where true rest is found.

Yet we must ask: do you know this Jesus personally? Rest is not found in simply quoting Scripture or admiring His words from a distance. It is found in surrendering your life to Him as Lord and Savior. If you have not yet placed your faith in Christ alone for salvation, we urge you to do so now. The Bible declares in **Acts 4:12**, *“There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”* Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is only through His name that we can approach God’s throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). Without faith in Christ, there is no true rest—only the empty labor of trying to earn what He freely offers.

If you *do* know Him, then this weariness may be a sign of carrying burdens He never intended for you to bear. Are you striving in your own strength rather than abiding in His? **1 Peter 5:7** commands us to *“cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”* Or perhaps your burden is the weight of unconfessed sin—something the Holy Spirit is convicting you to release. **Psalm 32:3-5** warns that unrepented sin drains our strength, but confession brings forgiveness and freedom: *“I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.”*

We also wonder: is this weariness tied to relationships, decisions, or circumstances that conflict with God’s Word? If you are in a relationship outside of marriage—whether premarital intimacy, an unequally yoked bond with an unbeliever, or any union that dishonors God’s design—we lovingly but firmly urge you to repent. **Hebrews 13:4** states, *“Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.”* True rest cannot coexist with willful sin. If this is your struggle, turn from it today and seek God’s forgiveness and healing.

Now, let us pray for you:

*Heavenly Father, we lift up this weary soul to You, knowing that You are the God who sees, who cares, and who invites us to find rest in Your presence. Lord, if this person does not yet know Jesus as Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation—that they would turn from their sins and trust in Christ alone. Open their eyes to see that rest is not found in empty religion or self-effort but in the finished work of the cross.

For the one who *does* know You but is burdened, we ask for the grace to surrender fully. Reveal any sin they may be clinging to, any relationship or habit that dishonors You, and grant them the courage to repent. Break the chains of anxiety, striving, and fear, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Remind them that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30), but it requires walking in obedience to Your Word.

If this weariness is from a season of trial, strengthen their faith. If it is from loneliness, be their Comforter. If it is from the consequences of sin, lead them to repentance and restoration. May they find their rest not in changed circumstances but in *You*—the unchanging God who holds all things together.

We pray this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.*

We also want to remind you that sometimes, rest comes from letting go of things we shouldn't be carrying in the first place. Maybe there's something you've been holding onto that's not from God - a relationship that's not honoring Him, a habit that's harming you, or a fear that's freezing you. Whatever it is, lay it down at Jesus' feet. He's waiting with open arms, ready to take it from you.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Jesus, we come to You today, carrying our weariness and our burdens. We trust that You see us, You care for us, and You want to give us rest. Help us to surrender fully, to let go of what we shouldn't be carrying, and to trust in Your love and Your strength. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
