As born again believers, we are to trust in the finished work of the cross. This means that all your anguish, hurts, pain, rejection, anger, anxieties, worries, etc., Yeshua already bore it all. In Isaiah 53 it says the He 'bore our griefs and carried our sorrows', we thought he was being punished by God but it was our sins, our transgression, our iniquities that were punishing him. He already carried these for you so when you came to these storms and trials in your lives, you would be standing in the place of an overcomer, conquerors and victorious.
What happens most often we get saved, get into the word but it is only knowledge, it has not become life. We read but did not apply in faith its truths. The word has to break like a hammer the lies and deceptions of the enemy that we became accustomed to, grew up with and took as truth. Our mindset is wrong because it is based on the world. Jesus came to set us free, but even though we have salvation, we never really fully understood what salvation entailed. It is not just about making it to heaven. It encompasses all of the promises and provisions of God.
In the book of Ruth, she married one of Naomi's sons. When both of Naomi's sons died, Naomi makes the decision to go back to her hometown and to the family she knows is there. She tells her daughter-in-laws she is releasing them to go back to their families (from whence they came). One goes but Ruth says no. Where you go I go, your God will be my God, your people my people. Ruth commits herself to Naomi. Ruth has seen and been a recipient of the kindness of Naomi and the faith she had in her God, despite her circumstances. Ruth's mindset was changing from one of worshipping idols to worshipping the God of Naomi. A beautiful story of redemption, I encourage you to read it and meditate on its truths.
In Isaiah 53 it says that Jesus already healed your high blood pressure but because of not understanding the full impact of salvation, we are still trapped in the same mindset of living as the world and believing as the world. Scripture tells us to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. Don't conform ourselves to this world, be transformed. Like a butterfly caterpillar has to go through a process, so also we go through a process...except ours is instantaneous. Born again, a new creation, a new species of being. Born again of the spirit, now our soul has to be regenerated/saved with a new way of thinking and believing and walking out. Bless the LORD O my soul...
Father, I pray for spiritual wisdom and revelation for ### and for their eyes be flooded with light and understanding of who they are in Christ. No longer of the world, ONE with Holy Spirit, we are overcomers of circumstances. Just like in Revelation, it says we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY. Let your word, Father hit its mark in shattering the lies of the enemy and revealing truth and freedom in ###'s heart and mind..
