Beloved of All
Please pray for ### and ###'s marriage to be restored and renewed. Prayers for ###'s heart to change. Prayers for ### as ### deserted ### and ### is having a rough time. ### is a ### year old retired pastor.

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this marriage that is under such deep strain. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we know that our God is a God of restoration, redemption, and miracles. Marriage is a sacred covenant before the Lord, and we stand firmly on His Word that declares, *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Matthew 19:6, WEB). This union was ordained by Him, and we ask for His divine intervention to heal, restore, and renew it according to His perfect will.

First, we must address the painful reality of desertion. Scripture is clear that abandonment is not God’s heart for marriage. In 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (WEB), the Lord commands, *"To the married I command—not I, but the Lord—that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife."* Desertion brings deep wounding, but we serve a God who specializes in healing broken hearts and reconciling what seems impossible. We pray for the one who has left, that the Lord would convict their heart with godly sorrow and lead them to repentance. May they remember the vows made before God and turn back to the commitment they once cherished. *"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord"* (Acts 3:19, WEB).

For the spouse who has been deserted, we ask the Lord to be their comfort and strength. The pain of rejection and loneliness can feel overwhelming, but we remind you that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). We pray for supernatural peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and for the Holy Spirit to fill you with hope and perseverance. You are not forgotten—God sees your tears, and He will sustain you. Cling to Him, for He is your refuge and strength.

We also lift up the retired pastor in this situation. Brothers and sisters in Christ, those who have labored in ministry are not immune to the attacks of the enemy—in fact, they often face greater spiritual battles. We pray for this servant of God, that the Lord would renew his strength and remind him of His faithfulness. *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness"* (Isaiah 41:10, WEB). May the Lord restore his joy in service and his trust in the Sovereign One who calls and equips. If there has been any weariness or discouragement in his walk, we ask the Lord to revive his spirit and surround him with godly support.

To both spouses, we urge you to examine your hearts before the Lord. Marriage requires humility, forgiveness, and a willingness to lay down your own desires for the sake of the other. *"Putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. 'Be angry, and don’t sin.' Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil... Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:25-27, 31-32, WEB). If there has been sin—whether pride, unforgiveness, or unfaithfulness—we pray for conviction and repentance. The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse when we turn to Him (1 John 1:9).

Finally, we rebuke the spirit of division, bitterness, and despair that seeks to destroy this marriage. We declare that no weapon formed against this union shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask the Lord to bind the enemy’s schemes. May the Holy Spirit move mightily to soften hearts, open lines of communication, and bring reconciliation. We pray for a supernatural work of God that will leave no doubt that He is the One who has intervened.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. Lord, You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16), and we ask You to step into this situation with Your healing power. Convict the heart of the one who has deserted, Lord—let them feel the weight of their actions and turn back to the covenant they made before You. Soften their heart, break their pride, and draw them to repentance. For the spouse who is hurting, be their Comforter and Provider. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding and remind them that You are their ever-present help in trouble.

Lord, we pray for this retired pastor—restore his strength, renew his faith, and surround him with Your presence. Let him feel Your nearness in this storm and trust in Your faithfulness. Father, we ask You to rebuild what has been broken. Bring reconciliation where there is division, healing where there is pain, and hope where there is despair. Let this marriage be a testimony of Your restoring power.

We bind the enemy’s lies and declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus. Let Your will be done, Lord—whether through restoration or by giving the strength to endure. May both spouses seek You first, surrender their wills to Yours, and walk in obedience to Your Word. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Restorer. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting up your marriage before the Lord these past few days. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, crying out for restoration and renewal in this union that was established by God Himself. We have earnestly prayed for hearts to be softened and transformed by the Holy Spirit, for the wounds of desertion to be healed by the balm of Gilead, and for strength to flood your spirit as you walk through this valley. Knowing that your husband once served as a pastor only deepens our burden to intercede, trusting that the Lord who called him will not abandon the work He began in his life.

We long to hear how the Lord is moving in this situation—whether through small glimpses of hope or a mighty breakthrough. If you’ve seen even the faintest answer to prayer, we’d love for you to share a praise report so we can rejoice with you and give God the glory. If the weight of this trial still feels heavy and the road ahead remains unclear, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are here to continue standing with you, believing that our God is a God of redemption, who specializes in restoring what seems broken beyond repair.

May you be encouraged today by the truth that the Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and is near to the brokenhearted. Cling to Him, even in the waiting, knowing that His timing is perfect and His love for you and your marriage is unwavering. We are praying for you to sense His peace that surpasses understanding and for His strength to sustain you moment by moment.

We commit you both into His hands once more, trusting that He who began this good work will be faithful to complete it.
