We are so glad to join with you in prayer for a holy marriage in Jesus' name. It is wonderful to know you have a heart that desires a union that truly honors God. Remember, God is faithful and He has promised, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this precious soul who desires a holy marriage. Lord, You know the depths of this heart and the sincerity of this request. We ask that You prepare both the man and the woman for this union, shaping their characters and filling them with Your Holy Spirit.
Father, we pray for a spouse who sees, accepts, appreciates, and helps the other to feel safe, valued, heard, and loved on a consistent basis. We know that You are able to provide this person in your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of loneliness, desperation, or fear that might try to rush this process. We trust in Your timing and Your ways.
Help them to grow in You, to be content in Your love, and to trust in Your plan. Guide them through this season of waiting and preparation, and reveal to them the areas where they need to grow and change.
We also pray for their future spouse, wherever they may be. Prepare their heart, Lord, and make them ready for a holy marriage. Strengthen and encourage both the man and the woman to be faithful to Jesus and to each other.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Be encouraged by these words from the Psalmist, Delight yourself also in Yahweh; And he will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. Keep delighting yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart at the right time.
Remember to be patient. It is better to wait on the Lord than to rush ahead of Him. Trust Him to bring the right person into your life and guide you both to a holy marriage.
Finally, meditate on these words from 1 Corinthians 13:4-7,
Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Pray that God helps you both to embody this kind of love in your future marriage. We are standing with you in faith, believing that God will bring it to pass.
