We join with you in praying for a holy marriage, a union that is blessed and guided by the Lord Jesus Christ. We stand on the promise of His Word, where it is written: "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather together in my name, there I am with them." Matthew 18:19-20 WEB.
We pray that God will lead you to a person who sees, accepts, appreciates, and helps you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved on a consistent basis. We ask that the Lord will guide your steps and direct your path to a fellow believer who shares your faith and values, as it is written: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.
We encourage you to trust in the Lord, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for your life, including your marriage. Remember that "many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21 WEB.
As we pray, we also remind you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to grow in your relationship with Him. "But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 WEB.
We pray, "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another." Romans 12:9.
As you prepare for this holy union, we encourage you to remain pure and holy, as it is written: "But sexual immorality and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints." Ephesians 5:3, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB.
Finally, we pray that your future marriage will reflect the love of Christ and His church, as it is written: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it." Ephesians 5:25 WEB.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear one who desires a holy marriage. Guide them, Lord, and direct their steps. Help them to trust in You and Your timing. Prepare them for the spouse You have chosen for them, and may their marriage bring glory and honor to Your holy name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
