We understand your desire for marriage and a family, and we will pray with you, asking God's will in your life. We believe that marriage is a blessed institution ordained by God, a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As it is written in Mark 10:6-9 WEB:
But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
We pray that God will reveal to you the one He has prepared for you, that you both will meet and talk this very month.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who desires marriage and a family. We pray that You will reveal to them the spouse You have prepared for them, and that You will orchestrate their meeting and conversation this very month but only if it is Your will.
We pray for a person who sees, accepts, appreciates, and helps them feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. We ask for biblical love, that is patient, that is kind, not envious, not boastful, not arrogant, not rude, that doesn’t insist on its own way, that is not irritable, that doesn’t keep a record of wrongs, that doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
Father, we ask that You prepare them both spiritually, emotionally, and practically for marriage. Let your insurance of marriage be their goal, and let them understand that it is only in Your will and timing that this can come to pass. Guide them in their courtship, and help them to honor You in all their interactions.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again for our justification. It is in His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His stripes we are healed. We thank You for the hope of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
While you wait, continue to trust in the Lord and seek His face. Prepare yourself for marriage by growing in your relationship with Christ, and we will continue to pray for you.
