We are truly grateful to bring your request before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that God's will be done in your life, and we seek His guidance as we delve into His Word.
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ and asking for prayers in His Name. This is in accordance with John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We must also remember 1 John 5:13-15, "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
We understand your desire for marriage and a family, and we pray that God's perfect will be done in your life. We must remember that God's timing is perfect, and He knows the deepest desires of our hearts. Psalm 37:4 tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
We pray for a spouse who sees, accepts, appreciates, and helps you feel safe, valued, heard, and loved on a consistent basis. This is a beautiful reflection of Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it." We're also reminded of Ephesians 5:33, "Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband." Marriage, as ordained by God, is a beautiful picture of Christ's love for His church.
We pray that God reveals 'the one' to you, but we must caution against any notion that there is only one specific person out there for you. God can bring anyone He chooses into your life, and as long as they are aligned with God's Word and His will (2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"), a godly marriage can ensue.
Lastly, we pray that God causes you and your future spouse to meet and talk this month. We trust in God's timing, but we also know that He hears our prayers. Remember Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved sister/brother who desires a godly marriage and family. We pray that You reveal Your will for her/his life, and that You bring the right person into her/his path. We pray for a spouse who sees, accepts, appreciates, and helps her/him feel safe, valued, heard, and loved consistently. We ask that You cause them to meet and talk this month, if it is Your will. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. Help her/him to delight in You, Lord, and may You grant the desires of her/his heart according to Your will and in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.
